Could Chelsea winning any domestic competition be described as that much of a surprise?
would this be the most surprising of all our title successes in the Roman era
--------------
I dont think so, major changes at City and United, although Arsenal are looking good, this is probably been Chelsea best chance at a league title in a few years.
Yes and No.
Our squad isn't perfect, but on paper only Man City should be challenging us. This season works off a similar principle as 10/11 for me, where Ferguson was the difference between the contenders..... we should be considered favourites because Mourinho should be the difference
not really, Jose is currently the only manager in charge in the PL that has proven he can regularly win titles. And the squad isnt that weak if we can reinforce the right areas in January
dont know if we will win it, but i'd be surprised if we werent in the race come April

But my article is based on the squad as it is, no January additions.

I was shocked by the Carlo year too Gazza but i did expect us to mount a challenge that year, maybe not in that fashion but still
Am I the only one who thinks 2005 was the most surprising? No doubt we were the best team by a country mile that season but it did surprise me that we went from maddeningly inconsistent under Claudio the year before to a relentlessly ruthless force. Plus I had never seen Chelsea win the league before so had no idea what it would be like
& in style too....records still current
