I dislike chopping and changing too much. I think its important that we establish a settled first XI and so would look to pay the same team for both games.

Going on our most recent performance (which was good!) I want to see this.

Lloris
Walker Kaboul Chiriches Vertonghen
Sandro Dembele
Lennon Paulinho Townsend
Soldado

Lennon looked dangerous against Man U and has earned himself a starting spot. Though he must stop vanishing in games, and as a comparatively senior player he also really needs to start taking more responsibility in initiating attacks.

Townsend on the left because Chadli was anonymous against Man U.

Paulinho to be given a free role with an emphasis on attacking as much as possible. Felt him and Soldado linked quite nicely at times on Sunday

Ain't just AVB that chops and changes though. Quite a few on this board like to as well.. Play the same team we played in united game.

Chadli was straight in against United after coming back from injury, that says a lot what the staff at Tottenham think of him.

Maybe I was a bit too harsh in writing off Chadli. He has demonstrated flashes of talent and so perhaps these would be good games to give him a proper run in the team and see if he can justify his position in the starting XI

Keep the same team as Sunday , Soldado looked good and will score tomorrow.

What I like about Chadli is that he is another target in the box for the likes of Lennon to aim for. Siggs, Eriksen, Holtby etc all dont get in the box when the ball is played out wide. Paulinho, Chadli and Soldado all do.

No captain - he is recently back from a fairly long layout….

ruling him out of fulham for me… and i would go with two flyers v sunderland for the reasons i explained.

horses for courses imo.

Honestly can't think of anything he really contributed . Admittedly I was watching on a fairly dodgy stream so maybe that has affected my judgement.

Think he has the potential to be a useful player for us though, seems to be rated by AVB

WTF cannot the same team that played so well on Sunday just start the next two games. It does my head in all these changes every match. Rotation has never ever worked for any club in the long run. All successful sides have a stable first XI.

Fergie barely played the same team two games in a row.

I rest my case

AVB aint no Fergie, when he has won 40 odd trophies, then he can have the luxury of changing teams every game. Fergie always played his strongest team, and very rarely changed in the best and early days of his immense success. Only when he knew he had complete control over most opposition, did he then start to change teams for cup games.

What are you on about sandy. Stop making things up. Ferguson barely played the same team twice in a row in the league as well as cups. You are making It sound like he played the same team every league game and made a few changes for the cup games - which just isn't true

I agree he had lots of success but that supports my argument not yours - he rotated his team - horses for courses and got lots of success. Which is what I am advocating.

For me. The defence needs to be the most settled part of a team. Attacking wise you play players to suit the opposition or who is in form. Unless you have a standout player who needs to play every week like bale was.

I am not making things up, when United were absolutely at their peak, you did not see him rotating Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, Cole, etc, in the prem they all played if fit, and the defence picked itself.

Fergie only really rotated for cup games.
