Gunning can be a bit of a headcase at times, sometimes he does play well. But if doesn't get offered a new contract I'm not too sure he'd missed that much.

I'd like to see Rankin signed up first TBH, wouldn't want him going anywhere. Captain next year maybe??

I was talking about captaincy on Saturday and I can only assume Rankin doesn't get the armband because of his involvement with the PFA? He's the chairman so I'd imagine that would take up a lot of his time.

I'm not sure Rankin stands still long enough to be captain. Difficult to marshall the other players when you're covering left-back & right-back simultaneously.
