Yeah, sure he is...
Dumb 'tic.
I'm a huge fan of having 3 at the back, I'd love to see it given a go and I think Hodgson's *style* of football would suit 3 at the back with a loaded midfield.
None of the current centre backs arw at the level of terry, ferdinand, campbell, carragher, king and even woodgate. Hopefully jones, smalling and caulker etc can be in a few years time but right now this is the worst defence england have had for ages
Does that mean you would be in favour of sticking 3 in there, FrimBoue?
Our centre backs are stronger than our full backs.
Problem with this system and the squad is that I can only think of 4 CBs (Jagielka, Cahill, Jones, Smalling) Have I missed anyone who is likely to go? One injury and suddenly you are in danger of having to switch system.
I dont like the look of the first formation as its a bit too attacking. The defence needs protection. The 2nd formation is something we could try but Im not a fan of the options available at the back.
Id have barry in the team. As much as I love Wilshere I wouldnt say hes a definite starter. Id have him in the squad but had to show more consistency to earn a starting place

The only other one I can think of is lescott if given the opportunity to play. A january move is something he needs. Im sure someone like villa would take him or Newcastle if coloccini still wants out
Our centre backs are all average.. 3 at the back seems to make sense, Milner and Baines as wing-backs would work well imo.
