“At the moment there is obviously ankle ligament damage [for Vertonghen]," said the head coach. “We will have the player in a boot for one to two weeks to try to settle it.

He'll be back for the last two games

It will be a very close game. We will have a weak defence vs. Suarez and co. which is a tad daunting.

Depends on who AVB plays tomorrow, I'd like to see the majority youth and 2nd string, there is no need, and I mean NO need to risk a first teamer and we have lots of cover and depth

Brad - GK

Fryers
Stewart
Kaboul
Naughton

Capoue
Dombaxe

McEvoy
Siggy
Lamela

Defoe/Coulthirst

That would be my optional starting team (depending if Stewart is fit) because he's registered

If Rose and Eriksen are fit I'd like to see them play in order to get them completely match fit.

I'd also like to see Soldado play as its an ideal game for him to get some goals and boost his confidence.

I wouldn't want them to start though, off the bench yes

Has Bentaleb been registered to play Europa?

Hope to see this kid get a chance on Thursday if he is available.

Hes supposed to be highly regarded at the club with a great future.

“We’ve had good news with Vlad," said the head coach. “The swelling has gone down and there is a good possibility that he is going to be available for the game against Liverpool, but obviously not tonight

MY team makes sense

Don't care if we lose, it's giving the young lads a chance

“Christian Eriksen is also selected for the game so there is a possibility that he can play some minutes, and we will also call up three of our youth players – Laste Dombaxe, Ryan Fredericks and Shaquile Coulthirst - to see if we can give them a chance of getting onto the pitch as well."

only 3? fack sake avb.

half the team should be youth players at least.

AVB HAS to play a youngster at CB, no need to risk anyone else, would be foolish, can play Capoue with Fryers and Naughton and Rose?

Is Kaboul fit yet?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaboul is facked

“Younes was supposed to be back in training but he had a small setback - but he should be back on Tuesday for training.

“It’s obviously a concern but there’s nothing we can do. Our conclusion is that, given the amount of injuries he has on his knees, his body is constantly adapting to new positions and straining muscles here and there.

“We have to be patient with him, trying to build him muscle-wise, and hopefully we can have him back."

I agree but I think AVB will be forced to play one or even both of them.
