Quotes without context are fantastic.

"Who thinks it's a good idea to hit a 10-year-old in the head 200 or 300 times a season?"

Jay I was thinking that myself!

Stupid article, how do you expect them to practice and perfect the skill from a young age??

Coaching tactics do vary

Unfortunately this guy is proving his own point. He's come up with this pash as a direct result of heedin the baw too much. There's yir catch 22 right there

Those of us over a certain age will remember heading what basically amounted to a bag of cement when those old leather balls got wet.

Hmm keep the ball on the deck encourage passing football, Scotland might have a few decent players by 2050.

Sounds like a good Scottish football coaching manual.

We don't need physical practice we'll learn it all by theory in a safe comfortable room.

I spent yeras heeding a heavy baw and did no damage to myself.............hold on!

Have to say Cal, can't see delaying heading to 12 or 14 really affecting a kids footballing ability, and if it can (needs to be proven) prevent future brain injury then why not ban it.

What a load of tosh.

Another example of Health and Safety gone mad. Heading is a supreme skill in football.

This just another step in the pansification of football.

Remember Derek Johnstone's header from the edge of the box against Wales at Hampden. If he was denied heading the ball as a kid you would not have had a wonder goal.

Might as well get them dressed up in leathers and chains and moustaches as they mice around the pitch

The orang mitre whacked off your thigh on a freezing cold Saturday morning on a red blaize pitch in Glagow.

Ah heady days indeed

Toiler, I pay for that now

hard getting a hold of an old Mitre, well worth the sting when you do

They will all sit around the centre circle crocheting and drinking Pims and eating small triangular cucumber sandwiches comparing their make up and dicussing the soaps from the night before

I have always found a good robust north of Ireland head more than sturdy to deal with most things, including heading a football.
