Skimming through this thread, the only image that came into my head was Spurs fans smashing their foreheads against their keyboards.

Just like their club, Liverpool fan's banter has really gone down hill in recent times.

Clueless Kenny splashing 35m on Andy Carroll - the biggest transfer fee for a British footballer at the time

liverpool
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You mean Carroll the trophy winner

Spurs have spent pretty much the exact same amount on players as Liverpool since the formation of the Prem and in that time we have managed to win:

FA cup 1992
League cup 1995
League cup 2001
FA cup 2001
Uefa cup 2001
European super cup 2001
Leave cup 2003
The European Cup 2005
European super cup 2005
FA cup 2006
League cup 2012

Now with pretty much the same expenditure Spurs have

2 league cups
Best Match day Bovrils

Point is - no amount of wumming will ever change the fact that Spurs are the most successful unsuccessful club in the land and a financial catastrophe

Shouldn't you lot be out robbing hub caps or something?

I like how Liverpool fans like to convince themselves Spurs have spent the same as them on players in the PL, Spurs have actually pretty much broken even, Liverpool have spunked £100m`s away.

Spurs have paid a lot out as have Lollerpool, but have also recouped most of it.

There is a difference between what you have spent and what you paid.

Trophies are the main reason why 75% of Mousers chose to support Liverpool, jumping on the 70`s and 80`s bandwagon.

Spurs have far far more genuine fans than Liverpool.

Glory supporters always feel the need to dredge up trophy counts, history books etc.

Spurs also have an illustrious history, but we do not constantly remind people, unlike Mousers.
