Fredericks showed more promise in 20 minutes than Naughton has in his entire career at Spurs. He simply isn't good enough in my opinion.

Don't get ahead of yourself here, remember Naughton's debut for us in a friendly, he looked more deadly then Fredericks did.

Naughton is much a more reliable back up, ridiculous to suggest otherwise

I've seen nothing from Naughton in the past year and a half. Just my opinion, but I don't rate him at all.

Naughton is decent enough defensively but offers very little going forward. I suspect with Fredericks its the other way around

Sometimes I wonder what people see. Naughton never let us down? He got out muscled for Anzhis only go when playing in his favoured right back role and last week he allowed the Sunderland right winger acres of space to cross that ball in when they scored. In fact I remember the Sunderland played taking an extra touch before whipping that ball in and naughton still wasn't close. He's not good enough for back up neither of you ask me. Bring Benny back for back up

He's mediocre at best, thankfully Walker's form has improved since the start of the season and Rose is back.. new LB is a must in January imo.

I thought Naughton looked very average for Norwich, both Rose and Caulker had far more impressive loan spells.

absolutely ridiculous.

naughton is an established premier league quality player, which he proved at norwich, and is good right back back up for us.

fredericks has had one half of football against a joke outfit, and people are saying he is ahead of naughton in the pecking order?

i mean he may well be the better player eventually, but lets not pretend he is even a quarter as proven as naughton is at the top level, and i can promise you that i am not really a naughton fan!

Bit crazy to suggest that. Fredericks is a converted right back in his first season as a right back.

Give him time his positioning and tackling abilities are rubbish at the moment.
