They'll smash it at their current rate

its likely they will

Probably....some side at there gaff.....as we found out.....

I reckon they might beat us by goal difference if it comes to that like 2 seasons ago.

Theyll smash it by the 30th game

With ease at this rate.

Beating by the 30th game would be some feat. I don't know if they'll do that but could see them having more than 103 by the end of the season.

If they are capable of replicating their home form in the league in the CL then they might get through a couple rounds purely by outscoring the opponents at home and not worrying about the away results.

If they continue as they are, then surely they'd reach at least 104 goals by the end of the season but you never can tell what'll happen.

A bad run of form, a dry patch in front of goal or an injury or two up front could all but end the possibility.

Depends on the opponent, 1982.

Their defence away from home has been very porous so it's a risky game to play against the very best in Europe.

Their defence is still a work in progress, however. I'm sure it'll have improved by the time February comes around.

If City really click then they can give the very best in Europe a game.

But there are teams in the CL that play a game that can stop City's attack clicking - Dortmund at their best, Atleti and Bayern particularly.

If they sort out their away form they would probably walk the league at the moment. To think their away form is almost relegation like (8 points from 8 games) yet they're just 3 points off top is phenomenal.

But they seem to be getting goals from all over the place. Injury to both Aguero and Negredo would be very unlucky (for them) but they still have Džeko, Toure can play further forward and is already scoring for fun, Nasri, Silva, Navas, Fernandinho has started scoring and that's not even mentioning Jovetic who has hardly played at all through injury.

Their attacking options are frightening. You just scene they will score every game they play.

Darren

True, will be very enjoyable to watch (not if City win though). Dortmund seem to be in a bit of a slump recently.

If City can improve their defence, get Nastasic and Kompany playing regularly, get Nasri on form and consistent, no major injuries to Toure, Fernandinho, Silva and Aguero they can beat anyone.

The ease at which they can create offensively is frightening, the polar opposite to us.

They had a similar record at this time in 11/12.

I certainly wouldn't rule it out, but their extreme goal-scoring will stop eventually.

Agreed, 1982.

Dortmund have had a pretty insane injury crisis, to be fair, and Gundogan hasn't played for ages.

By the time the ko stages start if they've got a fit team to choose from they're also a match for most teams.

I'm looking forward to seeing Atleti play a big club in the CL. I think City could really struggle against their pressing game - they made Barca, still the most comfortable team in possession, look sloppy with the ball when they played them in the super cup.

Kings, I think this team has more goal scoring options, though, and their football is more creative and expansive.

As good as City are at the moment, I think they'd be running a huge risk going all out attack against the absolute best in the latter rounds of the Champions League.

It'd be great to see from a footballing perspective but I think it'd be quite naive of them to do it, certainly against a full strength Bayern I feel.

True Darren, i have never seen such a dominant team at home before, funny thing is the only team that haven't been outplayed there are Hull, who actually deserved a point

Agree with that, TRS.

Naive football is the most entertaining type of football.

Kings, yeah they were unlucky.

True.

I'd like to see City draw Atletico. I think that'd be a really fascinating tie.

I think Leti could actually win the CL.

posted on 14/12/13

Anyone know what channel six in the city is on tonight

posted on 14/12/13

Depending on how the draw works out, you never know but at the moment I don't see Atletico going all the way.

This is some side, I fully expect City to stroll the league come January.

Their defence is atrocious though for a team talking about winning the league and the CL. That is why they are so poor away from home, they concede far too many. They won`t win the league on home form alone.
