It's clear we struggle after European games. I wish we didn't qualify for the Europa, it's a complete waste of our time. And especially because of the reason they let in CL teams to the last 32.

Yeah, it's a complete wonder that teams have ever put a league and cup rub together at all.
Fact is london clubs are an embarrassment in Europe.
I blame the fans. Total disgrace.
City lost a few this season after playing in Europe this season as well. it definitely has a big effect.
I preferred it when it was the UEFA Cup but now it's a farce.
Give the Tuesday/Weds CL games Sunday kick offs and Thursday EL teams playing Monday
That's why the top clubs have big squads...
Haven't we made 7/8 changes most European games? So, we can't use that as an excuse.
I wouldn't worry about moving the games to a day later. you won't have to worry anymore.
The Europa League is only any good if you win it.
Joke of a tournament otherwise and completely undermines our PL aspirations.
Robbing, nice to see Liverpool juggling the league and Europe so expertly this season...

We got slapped quite fairly by an excellent Liverpool side, there's no excuses to be made IMO

The CL teams generally play the same core of players in both the CL and PL.
But in our case we make 8 or 9 changes between EL and PL lineups. So IMO it should be less of an excuse for us.
Also there's no excuse for 5-0 at home

You are poorly educated,
I totally agree with this article. The europa league is pretty much a ridiculous competition in the group stages and having to travel ridiculous distances and then play again on the sunday has its effects despite these players being very fit pro's. I was extremely thankful that we didn't qualify for it last season and these are reflective in most of our performances this season as we are fresh for them despite having a lack of depth in the squad.

Yes, you're sarcasm is spot on LFC are in a bad place. But don't go on like it's the schedule. London clubs have an awful record in europe. It's just a fact so don't get all upset.

But football isn't simply eleven players running out on the pitch and performing, not at the top level anyway. Preparation is vital when two top clubs go head to head.
Obviously it isn't the sole reason for arsenal and spurs losing this weekend, I would have fancied City to beat us even if we had a week off while Liverpool are in good form and Suarez is almost unplayable.
