Misery guts Clarke is hardly covering himself in glory. Not a hint of accepting responsibility, gratitude for the wonderful foundation that Roy left him, and no concept of humility whatsoever.

Jol would have to relinquish that huge compensation package if he was to take another job any time soon. Jeremy would have to pay for that and I can't see that happening. AVB, the same.

They will go for OGS or similar - four coaches in four years is costing a fortune, so they will go cheap.

Meanwhile, deluded fans seem to think that Lambert would jump ship to their bigger club in a heartbeat

How about Harry Redknapp?

Harry needs a war chest.

Jeremy has parted with a vast sum of money by his standards and has flatly refused to spend ANY money in January.

Just don't see OGS fitting their coaching profile. Maybe a little too inexperienced for their tastes.

To Albion's credit, they will not gamble like Wolves did with Solbakken and Saunders. They will go for a proven coach.

Good point about Martin Jol's compensation - Peace is tight.

If it's not Jol it will be Ralf Rangnick. Rangnick has been looking for a job and has already put in his hat with Palace and Sunderland without success.

Albion will surely take up their scraps.

Wouldn't be surprised to see AVB get the sack here soon, who will spurs be chasing down then?

When I comes to the Albion job......there's a few names that leap into the frontal lobe with PL experience .........

Iain dowie
Phil Brown
Gary megson

But I've got a feeling JP will go all out for a big name, and throw some money at it this time ......

Spurs will poach a Spaniard.

This time around, there is no forward planning. JP recently admitted that under Ashworth they already knew who they would go for before getting shot of whoever the present coach was.

Under Garlick - who has no football background - they could well end up with Downing doing a Connor.

Simply, like any other business, targets are set and have to be met. If the guy responsible fails to meet targets then he is replaced. Simple. Nothing else at the club changes.

Also, this is not a knee jerk reaction. Behind the scenes the powers, Jeremy Peace and Richard Garlick, will have already been moving to replace Steve.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

What has amazed me, reading Albion posts in the last 24hrs, is the confidence they have that Peace will have already been working on a replacement.

They also talk about targets not being met.

I would put to any Albion fan, that Peace has failed in HIS targets on delivering longevity and consistency to their club. Any confidence in Peace and Garlick should be questioned, having struggled to appoint a decent manager since Roy Hodgson.

Yes Peace is working on a target. Four managers in four years says he's a little too used to it.

There is NO continental approach at The Hawthorns. They buy largely British players. They usually go with British managers. If a continental approach is having a coach and leaving the backroom staff to overpay the premiership stars of yesteryear then it's no wonder they're struggling.

Albion talk about their revolutionary continental approach but four coaches in four years suggests they need to reflect a little deeper.

Oh, and it is a knee jerk reaction.

Albion have always reacted quickly and these fans obviously don't know their club.

The last 9 Albion managers on paper have managed 424 games between them. That an average of 47 games.

Nine albion managers average one season.

Arsie 22 preached to us for a year about 'The Albion Way' as if it was eternal life-giving elixir.

Not so lippy now

They were right to laugh at our delusional decision making at board level.

The irony is that they too have been sucked into 'the Albion way' just like we were with the continental approach of Solbakken and the so called 'no-nonsense' approach of Saunders.

The truth is, that in this day and age unless you get a manager that is the right fit, they'll always make your club look like clowns.

These 'good fit' managers tend to come around every five managers. Hodgson was one, right time, right place.

They will spend a few years looking for their next. Luckily, Wolves have one in place at present.

Hence, the likelyhood of meeting next year and swapping over our five year of good fortune increases.

OGS on the brink of leaving Molde

posted on 15/12/13

This will be spun any which way that is positive.

Jol - the Dutch total football (as seen at Fulham)

Solskjaer - he's a modern.... Get ready for it.... 'Up-and-coming' manager who has won titles (in Norway with only a 55% win ratio).

Solskjaer would suit me greatly. A man with a baby face who has no premiership experience or the nous or experience to keep them in the league

On a serious note, and i sincerely mean this as a genuine question, why is McCarthy never ever linked to a premier league job?

Because he is shìte

OGS it is!

Albion can't make a move until Christmas - when his agent has just tweeted that he will be leaving Molde.

That angelic face is going to turn into this by the time the boo boys have had four months of abusing him:
