Lucien Favre would be a good shout I wanted him at Goodison before we got Martinez.

What makes you think there will be a queue to fill the Spurs vacancy, your record of appointing and then sacking managers is atrocious, anyone worth their salt would be very wary,on the other hand there seems to be plenty of wannabes crawling out of the pundits hidey holes.be careful what you wish for you just might get it.

groovy, maybe because spurs are a very attractive club to most and have a fantastic squad already made when the new manager arrives. Take off your spurs hating Arsenal hat off for once and just admit spurs are a massive catch for any potential manager.

He has a point though. I'd apply his point to Chelsea as well, but they've been far more successful than Tottenham have been. Just like any other job, managers look for stability and job security. Well, unless they're desperate.

The fat Spanish waiter anyone?

Apparently Bielsa's contract has expired and he's free ... Surely even until the end of the season it'd be worth a go?

Don if you can find a manager who will take on Levy, would you be happy with a potential manager, you have had numerous over the last decade or so,and none has been successful, unless you consider Redknapp as the best.
On paper you have a fantastic squad, but footballs never played on paper, its a massive task for whoever
gets the job.
And for the record I don't hate Spurs there not that important for that degree of emotion.

the best tacticians are either Hiddink or Laudrup.

I'm not sure Tottenham are as big a catch now as they were a season ago.

The money has been spent and the squad lacks balance. There's a big rebuilding job, an impatient fanbase with expectations that are unlikely to be matched given the size of the club

He won't come half way through a season. Language barrier + the fact he'd want a pre-season to work with the players will put him off. One of the reasons he didn't join Santos in Brazil was because he wanted five months to study and understand the league before taking over.

Bielsa is good, had the athletic Bilbao team playing some great football 2 seasons ago. But for some reason it all went t!ts up last season, sounds as though he's quite fiery and hot-headed.

For me the man I'd want in the summer is Diego simeone. Has turned atletico from perennial under-achievers/chokers to the real deal now within 2 years. Admittedly got lucky when they beat Real Madrid in the Spanish cup final in May, but then went back there in September and outplayed them to beat them again. He's instilled a hunger, desire and work ethic there and the players all love him.

He's complained multiple times that la liga is "boring" as only the big 2 can win the league. He knows that there's only so much he can do with them before he has to move on.
