The good news is my worries about Sherwood getting the job full time have evaporated
Out of his depth playing a high line defence with a makeshift partner? AVB should have changed the system to limit the threat, he was paid enough to realise that

Dont waste your time sandy still believes in Father Christmas as well
Every cloud has a silver lining, grand
Grand: I wanted him to do well, but wasn't particularly impressed. Seemed to go all out attack at the start, without any idea how to control the game tactically after that....
Grand who would you like given the choice?

Grand: I wanted him to do well

I want anybody in charge of Spurs to do well because obviously then the team is doing well but Sherwood was clueless as a player so was hardly going to be tactically aware as a coach/manager.

Hiddink would be my first choice

himself.

Well I would have done better than Sherwood did tonight for sure
Grand: Of course, seems to be what I'm thinking too. Sherwood doesn't seem very likeable, but if he had a positive influence on the team, it shouldn't matter.
Not really sure what to take from tonights game, started well, looked a positive move...then that shower.
How the fack did we lose?
I go out while we're dominating and come back to a loss
Yeah I'd agree on Hiddink if we could get him.
I've had to laugh at some of the names mentioned. Capello for example would imo have the same issues AVB did with the media and fans talking about negative football.
The De Boer links are interesting but could be another young coach doing well because they are at the biggest club in their country.
Would be interesting if someone like Bielsa came in. The head coach, just focusing on the team, attack minded.
Going to be interesting to see what happens. For instance after Redknapp we went the opposite way for a young, not such a media loving, 'new school' coach. Now will we go back to a steady pair of hands or take another risk.
Firstly we let Sherwood pick the team doo doos, then the tactics, then the substitutions. Schoolboy errors

Holtby
The likes of Dembele are never going to do well in that sort of fixture he dwells on the ball to long.
When you play one of big sams teams you know its a battle like playing Stoke. If you want a result you have to be prepared to match that and Dembele is not what was need.
IMO the substitution was easy it should have been siggy, defoe or townsend that came off. Ade should have been left out there to rough up their centre defenders. I am also curious as to why Rose came off was he injured?
I expected us to beat a very poor West Ham side 17st. Wasn't that much to ask was it?
Grand, Rose has only just come back so he's short on fitness
I expected to beat a team that is in danger of relegation at WHL as well.
Silly me obviously 100 million pounds worth of players should not be expected to do that

How the feck can he leave Defoe on to play up front on his own, he is fecccccking useless, he is either offside or the ball bounces off him.

IMO if he is not capable of 90 minutes he should not have started. Not in a cup quarter final of a competition we stood a chance of winning
Why the fack did Holtby come on for Adebayor, if any one Defoe should of come off
