I liked the Deuce , don't know why we sold him.
Too much interfering from Levy, fancies the job himself like Roman that why Redknapp got the sack Levy and Baldini bringing in players like
Except Chelsea still win trophies with "Romans buys"
Levy is a Lidl brand version of Abramovich. All of the impatience and none of the success.
I thin you have to counter that with why would the players want to come and play for spurs. CL? A big wage? We should've wrapped up Moutinho for certain - arguing over several hundred thousand - and should've spent Lamela's money on Hulk, at least he has the CV to justify the bigger price.
its not that easy tho is it? we cant just buy the players we want as most of them wouldnt even sign for us
the Moutinho one tho was apparently haggling over £500k which if theres an ounce of truth in that is facked up
and the others either made their decisions based on money and/or CL football.
i didn't mind usa2 either...popped up with some vital goals....
i'm not fussed about hulk....hes claerly a merc.....plus...a fat bassa too of late.....

Every player that I've mentioned that was a target for AVB was a realistic target
Moutinho was almost a spurs player Levy didnt cough up the money
Hulk, the right price would have seen him reunited with AVB
Villa was 1/7 at one point fee agreed but he wanted to stay in spain, maybe if we'd offer a better wage he could have come
Willian, if we'd of tried to seal that quicker then Mourinho wouldn't have shat himself and paid over the odds
Coentrao 2nd choice at Madrid and used a part of the bale deal
AVB knew when he came to the club that a technical director was coming in and he was happy with Baldini. He knew what he was getting into.
It's funny because Tottenham quite literally threw £110M down the drain.
we didn't thou did we...we didn't throw it down a drain.....
Tottenham had a real chance to push on with that money, get world class players and challenge the top4.
All that's happened is you've bought bang on average players (because of a stupid football director )
And you have gone backwards.

Well we haven't. Granted our signings haven't exactly hit the ground running but the likes of Lamela and Eriksen have barely had a run in the side so it is very early to judge them, especially as they are still only 21.
Chadli has been out injured and probably made about four league appearances. Capoue started brilliantly in his preferred position, got injured and has now had to fill in at centre back. We shall see in the long run how he does in his ideal role.
Paulinho and Vlad have looked good in spells and look like they will eventually justify their fees, particularly Vlad. Only Soldado really are their major question marks over, but was AVB's style holding him back or will he be a flop.
Ultimately it is still very early to judge them, but hey it is an easy wum isn't it?
I wasn't actually wumming.
But fair enough.
Lamela will be better than hulk
Fair enough, but we've had so many fans and our own moaning and complaining about spending 110m etc and all the players being average. Whereas in truth most have barely had a run in the side and others have shown flashes of their ability. It's so easy for the media to point to the 7 signings and say they are all rubbish but it still is way too early to judge.

If you pay £30m for someone and they haven't been able to make an impact at all in 5 month you overpaid.
I'll judge the 30m on Lamela at the end of his time at the club. At the moment it does look like we've set fire to a heap of cash but the same could be said of Bale early in his career at Spurs. He clearly had the talent, but for whatever reason it wasn't working and he looked useless. Fast forward four years and he looked a bargain. It might be that Lamela does completely flop but he's still got a lot of time on his hands.
Bale didn't cost 30m though....
But I agree mostly with what you're saying we need to judge the players after one full season
It's far too early to tell if the money has been wasted or not, especially as some of the new signings have hardly played. It took both Berbatov and Modric some time to settle in before they showed their best and look how good they turned out to be.
The players Tottenham really wanted were either too expensive or turned Tottenham down as the club probably wasn't seen as big enough
There were some decent players signed though but we must give them time
ironically, chadli was your best player on sunday......
