Spurs sacrificed their season. This is a write off, transition period as they call it. Then again they've been in transition since 62...

Just a couple of points - why do you think SC did a better job than AVB?
Do you actually know how bad SC record has been in the last 20 matches?
Which experienced manager do you think they are waiting for exactly?
I can tell you that their are none who are worth employing.
The employment of Sherwood for a season and a half is very clever as you keep him sweet and give him the chance to prove himself and if he doesn't in half a season he will be gone with a WC casualty coming in.

What` Wenger`s excuse for being in transition for the last decade then.

No but I believe,Ebenezer Levy gave tiny tim a huge turkey for Christmas.
Cheers.
Got to say from an outside perspective I'm surprised Tottenham went for Sherwood. Plenty of coaches would have been attracted to the Spurs job. Bit of a strange appointemnt I thought.
Hope you do turn it around though. Tottenham are one of the few top clubs I don't mind doing well. Also the fact that so many Spurs fans on here hate Villa warms my heart.
Unlike Spurs, they actually seem to have a plan. They are taking their time to find a new EXPERIENCED manager, while leaving first team management duties to an EXPERIENCED care taker. The team seems to be stable and pulling together, while they CAREFULLY search for a new EXPERIENCED manager.
==========
I think Spurs have a plan. They are probably aiming higher than a recently sacked by Real Betis unknown.
I would be shocked if Spurs didn't appoint a new manager in the summer, it is always difficult to persuade a manager to leave half way through a season, especially ones who either are going for honours or are bosses of a nation set to compete in the World Cup.

Groovy on the spurs board again.
1) Clarke's record over the last YEAR was abysmal - he rode on the back of Hodgson's momentum and then destroyed them when running out of his petrol. Wasted millions on huge wages for old or injury plagued players. The football was terrible.
2) Peace has no idea what he is doing. Dan Ashworth ran the football side of things and always had a plan. He was head-hunted by England. They are now run by Richard Garlick - an accountant who doesn't know anything about football.
3) Their latest target has backed down after ridiculous demands from JP.
4) 5 managers in seven seasons destroys the commonly held myth that Albion are the model that all should follow.
5) They survived last season only due to the crumbs from underneath Chelsea's table.
Don't believe the hype - their own fans (apart from armchair experts on here) will tell you that their club is a shambles and about to unravel.
