I want a diamond 4-4-2 at home and away with Sandro playing defensive midfielder and Eriksen as attacking midfielder with 2 upfront.

I think it can work and it's a lot more positive than it was under Avb. What I don't want to see is that bulls. Hit 2 defensive midfield formation ever again.

yeah sizzle that would be a bonus

It shouldn't just be a set formation every game, it needs to also depend on who we're playing, what players available,

Showed on Boxing Day how we underestimated West Brom by playing two fragile CM's

Ideally 4-4-2, but a lot depends

I want to see us be succesful but I also want to be entertained first

i would prefer us to be successful before entertaining

as it happens we're neither

We tried to be successful under AVB and everyone hated it

We're trying to be entertaining under Sherwood. People are hating it

It's a no win situation. I just want to win games irrespective if it's boring it not

4-2-3-1 would be my choice but better tactics than AVB employeed

With out ball

== Sandro Holtby ==
Lennon Eriksen Townsend

With ball

======== Sandro =========
Lennon Eriksen holtby Townsend

Formation cannot be ridged anymore players need to be able to switch between different positions as and when they need to.

If like to stick 4-4-2 at home, because we can't be looking to be offensive, away from home we seem fine.

Defensive *

Runners from midfield, overlapping full backs, communication, I like our side without Paulinho who I'm not impressed with

every one to their own luka but I really dont see the point of supporting a succesful side over an entertaining side myself, just seems like glory hunting , ok win the cup or something like that in a boring final but be boring all the way through?, its not for me

I want to see this at some point...

Lloris
Walker Chiriches Vertonghen Rose
Sandro Dembele
Lamela Eriksen Townsend
Soldado

Just with the two holders playing more positive passes

Entertaining sides usually ship goals

Exactly thudd, I want to continue with 4-4-2

Especially at home, what we have to understand d is that AVB has spend 17months drilling 4-2-3-1 I to the team, it will take a few games to adapt to TS style.

It seems its just me who wants to be entertained then

I'd take 38 boring 1-0 wins and win the league over 38 exciting 5-4 losses and be relegated

Garry

Football has moved on, it's no longer entertaining fluent football, sides like West Ham. Palace. West Brom will make it difficult to be entertaining due to being well organised and disciplined

posted on 28/12/13

by definition boring isnt enjoyment so you would take the boring wins for just for crowing rights not to enjoy success

If you want to be entertained I wouldn't hold out much hope, personally

Nope, im with you. Entertain first, win things second (if possible).

****

I'd take 38 boring 1-0 wins and win the league over 38 exciting 5-4 losses and be relegated

Thats two massive contrasts that would never happen though. We support Spurs, we are not glory hunters. Winning 1-0 every game playing boring football would not be the Spurs way. I would not take that if offered, i know i would be in the majority but i dont care

posted on 28/12/13

thudd It depends if your enjoyment is just built on success then you are probably right, but if you enjoy flowing football with goals scored by whoever then I can hope

One thing for sure: don't do high line.

Play two strikers up front, as it will make it more difficult for defenders and allows one striker play off the other one.

But don't play high line. Because any player from the opposition just needs to hoof the ball behind the defense to set the striker free to charge against the keeper.
