Yeah I'm sure Saints would go for that
Of course they wouldn't want to lose three of their best young players but with a substantial bid, why not?
Have United got £80m to spend?
It's not as if they need the money they're one of the richest clubs in Europe - it would never happen unless you bid absolutely ridiculous money.
United won't sign more than 1 player - they never do. Book mark this if you like.
My god no thank you. Although lallana and schneiderlin are decent players I don't think they would improve us whatsoever and for the money it would cost I would much rather us look for better options.
Shaw I would take
£80 mil
I don't expect United to actually sign anyone this window, maybe recall one or two of the loan players. This thread was more for the United fans opinion on if the signings would be good for us and for the Southampton fans to give a figure they would sell for.
£80m is the minimum you would be able to get them for. As Fred says Southampton do not need the money. Why would they sell them for anything other than expensive?
Ok, maybe so especially at this time of year.
For £80mil it wouldn't be worth it.
I agree it wouldn't be far off 80m for the 3. Don't forget 2 are English which automatically ridiculously inflates their price. If we are going to spend that sort if money I would rather us bring in 2 top quality additions from abroad
It would be good for us with some more brits on the team, 3 additions is too much. I think Shaw, and Lallana would be top notch
Triple RAID screams the cockroach.... get me outta here!
Shaw I can see but I can also see Coentrao on loan which will be a better alternative until the summer.
Is Schneiderlin better than what we have?
Where will Lallana play?
Schneiderlin is a good defensive midfielder. He's different to what we have.
Lallana would play on the right where, let's face it, none of our other options are pulling up sticks.
None of them would remotely improve us. No thanks
whats the obsession with trying to sign average mid table players?

Do we want or need a DM? SAF said that we have never played with a DM, why start now?
And when Lallana plays on the right, how many crosses is he going to put in for the strikers? Or will it be the same as Kagawa on the left, that he will continually drift in?
So let me get this straight:
£80m on 3 players who when the whole squad is for and firing wouldn't get in the starting XI?
Lallana is more of a winger, Kagawa is an attacking midfielder. Schneiderlin is a defensive minded midfielder who is more mobile than Carrick. We definitely need someone to try and stop teams cutting through us at will.
I already said £80 mil wouldn't be worth it.
When the squad is fully fit I would still have Shaw and Lallana in over our alternatives, and Carrick is the wrong side of 30 so will need replacing in a year or so.

Nani on TOP form or Lallana on TOP form and it's Nani every time.
Valencia over Lallana as well for me.
But it's opinions I suppose and you're entitled to yours.
Shaw only and Southampton are under financial pressure to sell one young player according to reports
Nani on top form, hmm, isn't this the problem we have had with Nani for years? On top of his game he is probably the most dangerous player we have but as that happens less and less frequently ...
As for Valencia, as "good" as he has been this season he has been woeful for nearly a couple of years now. Hence why I say "good" as it's only in comparison to how badly he has been previously.
Nani, Anderson will be sold in my view. Think Valencia will stay and Young will carry on getting chances and a decision made on him at the end of the season.
A winger and left back will be bought in the summer I suspect, Shaw will go to Chelsea.
Valencia hasn't been woeful for a couple of yrs at all. Granted he was woeful last season but season before he was one of if not our best player. Just hope he can regain some of that form. He has got better this season not that was difficult compared to last
Surprised if Nani is sold as he has just signed a new contract. Anderson will most probably go in the summer, and the main priority is to bolster central midfield area.
As fans, we all look at Valencia, Nani, Young and think not good enough, but it's easy to forget that they have been part of title winning squads, and I think most fans are somewhat idealistic in thinking there will be a mass clearout of wingers. Add to that Januzaj and Zaha (remember him), and I don't think there will be a mass clearout of widemen, given our priorities.
Most fans won't be happy with this, but if Moyes is looking at the bigger picture, then all efforts will be concentrated on the central midfield area. I also believe that with a top quality central pairing, this will lead to improvement out wide, because the midfield 4 will work better as a whole.
I would take Shaw, but I can't see the other 2 improving us much.
