Eto has to score today

Op sorry I'm not talking about Luiz, in our last game I noticed that Eto was getting into goal scoring positions which implies that his movement and awareness has improved, he could score today, imo

OP you have it spot it about Luiz. People 'rate' him for other reasons than his actual football.
Being a nice guy doesn't make you a good footballer as he proves time after time.

Think our strikers are snatching at shots now because the beast has grown in the club/fans/media where no one rates then anymore. Even when they get on the positions they fluff their lines. Someone needs to break this mould.

Keeping the ball to get any sort of pressure on the opposition has been a struggle this year. We are so poor at short passing. Luiz is criminally bad at times so hope he has a good game. Hopefully he can be our destroyer that ramo normally is!

He just needs to keep it simple

He is actually a very good player and defender, seen some World Class performances from him. He is just not consistent enough. Also don't think he had the stamina to play the midfield role last season, so unless he has improved on that I expect him to come off at the 70 minute mark.

Luiz played very well today. Shame about the yellow, would have seen to see some continuity for him in the middle, and him and Ramires there sounds like it will be excellent. But well dont to Luiz, good game.

Thought he was our worst player played a great ball to eto for his chance but other than that was clumsy and a passenger. Don't know what game we were watching. Must of been different ones. Thought lampard and then mikel were much better

Not saying it was a perfect performance and I wasn't expecting one as central midfield is not a position he is used to but if he is played there consistently he will only get even better there.

Although I do think we should bring in a specialist there, e.g Matic, Pogba....

Well everyone on this board loves luiz...Torres also gets a standing ovation every week. Some people hair don't understand the game. I would give luiz a 5 out of 10. Let the game pass him by for long periods and those stupid clearances which just gave Liverpool the ball were ridiculous when we could of kept the ball under no great pressure.
