Good observation.
Most England fans congratulated India on winning the world cup at home under immense pressure..
But i go back to my own person thread about giving England credit that was posted days before the series began..
It was in responce to how poor Englands batting is and will never compete with the giants of the game ie India . And how the Indian batting will demoralise Englands bowling.. These thread starters were so anti english. I just knew when England won. They would run away and hide.
Totally agree Know it all. I spent years idolising people like Michael Holding, Andy Roberts, Viv Richards and Clive Lloyd and enjoyed watching their skills even though they were slaughtering us. Malcolm Marshall was terrifying and thrilling to watch and i do not remember him playing for us.
More recently my favourite player was Bully Boy Matt Hayden. Watching him stand there and hammering bowlers all over the park was a joy to see.
I have been patient and realized 2 years ago that things were going our way. Flintoff was coming to the end of his career and the whole work ethic and attitude of our England players was starting to change.
Nobody would be so sure as to predict that we would become as good as we did. Who thought that Swann would become this good, seriously? Broad and Bresnan were always looking good but jesus are they superb now?
Through out time I have congratulated great players, and teams on their achievements. Should I stop now because it is England that are doing all the achieving?
Swann your right who would have thought how good he would become?
I hold my hands up and admit i didnt think Bresnan would make test level standards. But hey 9 wins out of 9 during his time as player can't be bad can it?
I always thought Broad would turn out to be a good player and can get better.
The Indian fans just 'don't like it up em'. They've given Australia a good run for their money in the sore losers stakes this series.
After Lord's they were out telling us that "it would be different at Trent Bridge" and "the series wasn't over".
Nothing more than blind faith.
They are either the biggest WUMs on earth otherwise they must be very very disappointed at the moment. The speed with which every single one of them has disappeared is almost alarming. Did they really expect to beat us? If they couldn't beat us then did they really expect to push us close?
This series had 4:0 written all over it months and months ago. They came to England with an attack as weak as Australia and we all know what we did to that attack last winter.
They are pathetic.
Show some humility you oaf
Nobody bothers on here oaf so I don't feel the need to kick it off If you don't mind I will continue enjoying this series, and as it is against India, then it is them I would like to chat about. Have you seen any of them around lately?
guys guys guys, we're letting you enjoy your victory, & no. 1 status, i for don't begrudge you that, however the indian support is still here.....you can be sure of that !...maksi, we have more pressing engagements like.....LUFC !...
lol harj, very very true. Terrible start. Can we beat Hull tonight mate? Good to see we share something, and while I am at it, I wish you well for the fourth and final test at the Oval
Spare us the phoney wishes maksi , you have been nothing more than a gloating nancy.Wait till the odis start when India can start afresh..
So, Pox, if India had been beating England in the same way you have been hammered, this board would not be jam packed with Indian wums lording it over the English?
Maybe the truth of the matter is the only format of the game you are any good at is the 50 over and T20 type. (We are T20 world champions by the way. 2 out of 3 now.)
Well I'm sorry to break it to you, but the pinnacle of Cricket is test matches, regardless of how much the BCCI try to us otherwise.
You got the top spot by beating the lower ranked teams, and now you've come up against a top team, you've been spanked.
I'd be keeping a low profile, or indeed, showing some humility yourself after the pre-series boasts from many Indian fans.
lol Know it all. Pox seems to like taking a pop at me on these boards mate but as long as England continue to play as they are doing then it's going to be difficult to remove my smile
He is constantly having a go at the England team, and I wouldn't waste too much time debating with him because he clearly has no idea what test match cricket is all about, and more importantly, no idea how far this England team has come.
Thanks for your support in this matter HMMurdoch, why shouldn't we be enjoying this performance our team is putting on for us these days?.
Last comment and I repeat, the series is won, we are the best team in the world and I wish India all the best in the last series. No wumming, just a relaxed England fan who has total faith in his team, but thinks the Indian fans deserve some fun now.
Lets be honest, no matter what we say on here, it ain't going to change a thing that happens out on the pitch
Forgot to mention one thing. I have no interest in the ODI series whatsoever. It might be cricket, but it ain't Test Match Cricket so I could not careless if we win it , or lose it. In my book they are totally different animals, and if you like football, it doesn't mean you have to like 10m synchronized diving?
