His loan was dependent on an agreed two year deal at the end of the season. Surely just press nonsense. Assumed he was not able to be recalled due to this?

I would say this is utter garbage

It contradicts what was suggested at start of season. Maybe it's paper talk or maybe dull have found of way of recalling him to try and start a bidding war considering how well he's doing. Important member if the team so hopefully we can sort it either way

Paul from the NEP recons it came from dull, might be substance to it but apparently they've not made their minds up yet

It's all been said above really, we need to keep him, after all with more experience under Billy he may blossom in the Premiership [ if we can get there this season]

The increase in money paid to relegated club's linked to PPI makes seeking promotion for the rest of us that much more difficult. It say's a lot that the top six includes a lot of team's that haven't been relegated in the last two year's.

I can foresee a situation in the future where most Championship Teams are owned by Premier Clubs and are effectively reserve sides?

Nasty thought for the New Year?

RGB - don't even go there... I'd hate to think that Derby and Leicester were our feeder clubs!!!

Still, happy New Year to you all

Depends who comes down each season though.

Bruce has come out and said they are going to recall him to sell him.

Billy says they can only recall him in an 'emergency'.

There's only one way to sort this out ...

Oh

They'll be able to if they want but sounds like they are doing us over somewhat

I thought we'd already agreed a fee with Hull, and the loan period was merely a formality?

Hull going back on the agreement by all accounts .. Maybe trying to force our hand into signing him now rather than in the Summer?

That's how it sounds to me, Hoons. I understood that his salary shot through the roof when Hull got promoted, and with a year left on his contract it was good business sense to send him out on loan for a year for a fee. Forest would pay a big chunk of his now increased wages, and would pick him up on a free at the end of his contract this summer.

If this is the case, and Forest had paid for his services for the year, I would be disappointed if Hobbs were to be allowed to skip out half way through his 'contract' with us.

Surely we have a legal agreement with Hull over this?

If it's a case of incompetence on our part (let's face it, that's quite likely) then we should match any other bids for him because he's been outstanding every time, to the point now where we take him for granted.

Can't trust their owner or sloth

Let's hope Jack really wants to stay and we have first refusal. IF he goes back putting a transfer request in may help

Rumour is that Fester have offered a 'significant fee' to sign him in Jan. No wonder Hull want him back, as under the agreement with us we'll get him for free in the Summer.

I thought they were unwilling to splash the cash?

I very much doubt we have found any money and I can't see us signing a CB unless big Wes decides he does want to go back to Forest. It's one area we don't need to recruit.

Not to mention the fact that the Hull chairman stated categorically that he would NEVER sell a player to Nigel Pearson. So this would represent something of a u turn.

You may have a rival for his signature, but I would be very surprised if it's us.

That's good to hear Joby. Hopefully all paper talk

Bruce has come out saying that there are people interested to buy.

Billy has come out saying the terms in the contract are that in this month they can recall - if they are in an emergency.

There is straight up no emergency and so cannot recall him and are trying to force our hand. If they somehow are able to through some bull###t technicality billy and fawas will rightfully be livid.
