Does anyone still take the FFP crap seriously?

Brums we worked out on the Haven last night that we could potentially afford to pay £100m on transfers and still comply quite comfortably with FFP.

Doubt it

no, you can spend whatever the feck you like.

Unless the french clubs stop, in which case they will actually enforce ffp

MvG, we are going to get £30m+ more from the PL and CL prize money, potentially rising to £40m or £50m depending how far we get in the CL. Also in this years records none of our sponsorship deals counted such as £30m a year for 10 years from Adidas, the Gazprom deal, + many others. Our revenue also keeps increasing year on year. We also have £10m leverage for a loss as we need less than a £45m loss over 3 years and we are currently on £34m over 3 years.

In conclusion we can do whatever the feck we want.

Obers people just see a big loss and presume we're cheating the laws they don't take notice of the fact we're increasing our commercial revenue and the fact the tv money is going up significantly every time

I should have explained my thinking a little better.

If that was for the year ending 30th June last year, presumably any transfers in the January window (should any happen) or the coming summer will be classed as a different financial year and not be included in those figure, thus having no impact on FFP for last years budget!

If that makes sense!

Its a 3 year observation period so we are fine if we make continuous losses till 2014 then we will be in trouble

Brummie to be fair the transfers are probably less of an issue for ffp than the wage bill, it's the wage bill we need to reduce really
