Indeed. And Wenger knew that in the summer. Thats why he tried so hard for Suarez.

But we really shouldn't right this season off. We have a REAL chance to win it and Arsene should go all out for Lewandowski or Costa and even get Berbatov as well. You can never have too many strikers.

What is different between now and 07/08 is the mental strength and resolute defence. Also leaders

Invincibles had the leaders of Vieira, Campbell, Henry, Toure, Lehmann, Parlour.

This time round we have: Shezza, Per, Mikel, TV, Flamini, Ramsey.

I would say Per and Flamini are the only leaders in our squad. Maybe Jack in the future.

We have definitely sacrificed the pretty football for defensive solidity. The problem is scoring against the better teams due to this. We struggle at it and there are going to be lots of big games in Feb/March that we are going to have to make sure we do not lose before we try to win.

We would be so much better equipped for the run in with a world class striker.

We had the squeaky bum time with this same team at the end of last season when we were 5+ points behind Spurs for the top 4 and we kept on winning. AVB broke mentally.

Arsenal always get stronger in the second half of the season. We are no where near the top 4 in the last 3 seasons in the first half and always mount a run. In fact thats the signature with all Arsene Wenger teams because of the style we play. Even when we used to win leagues.
