Can we loan Wilf back until the end of May pls? Pretty please

cleverley, welbeck and young have all stepped up their game and played well recently

the problems are clear to see, carrick is not fit and therefore we are light on another quality midfielder.

We need a replacement for Evra who was awful today.

and relying on Januzaj is silly, he is too inconsisten

They have all had 2-3 seasons at United, again form is temporary, class is permanent, these three will have the odd good game or few because that is what happens when you are played enough. But on a consistent basis, when you look over their whole career at our club, you can quite comfortably say they need to be replaced, or like Cleverley be a good substitute to have.

You came up against a pretty good 2nd string spurs side today
----------------------------------------------------------------------
doesnt matter

if we had RVP on the pitch we'd have won no matter who you had from your squad out there

You can have mata after his strip today

Cleverley, Young and Welbeck have stepped up their game from poor to average (bar Welbeck) against poor opposition.

Doesn't stop them being average players.

Our squad lacks quality, but our manager also isn't doing well enough either.

Really Heisenberg? We're resorting to if's and but's.

Spurs beat us AGAIN at OT fair and square.

What I can't stand is fans who accept less than what we can be.

Competition is about being 1st, being the best, and in Football it is ridiculously hard to be that, and only a tiny percentage of clubs are in a position to be that, we are one of them, and the sooner fans demand that because of our fortunate position the better.

whats wrong with saying that?

A fully fit RVP is a huge bonus to the team, if he stayed fit this season I am 100% we would be in the top 4 spots.

we are crippled, rafael is also a huge loss.

Thing is this recent run of hot form actually has had people believing that the likes of welbeck and young are good enough. Nah, they are midtable players at best. News flash if you win for games in a row, then lose two over the next couple of games that isn't good enough at all and adds up to a lot of losses. Well be lucky not be in double figures for losses when the season ends.

Moyes was the wrong appointment because it's clear we wernt gonna spend and he cannot get the extra 20% could out of these under par players

they are not average players, this is your problem. every player has to be world class or average, nothing in between.

Exactly what I'm trying to say.

I give all players time, Welbeck, Cleverley, Young I have given them 3 years now to show they deserve to be playing for us consistently, but they have not, so I am all over their metaphorical backs saying I want them out, even if they score a hat trick each for the next 3 games, because form is temporary.

Moyes, I am and will give you time, so I am not going to call for your head (unless I joke about it) for this season or next season, and probably in your 3rd season.
I want to defend Kagawa, I know he is quality, it's just the more I see him play the more I think it is not him, but the way United plays it's football, it's neither parties fault, just a couple that doesn't go well together

No, I demand at least GOOD displays consistently, United or any club will ever have world class players in each position, but United should have one or two world class and 11 good to very very good players, that is what I want to see, I don't demand miracles, I demand the standard we should be at.

Fergie has left Moyes with a squad that needs major major surgery.
Ferdinand, Giggs, Vidic, Evra, Carrick and even RVP are coming to the end if their cycle. In RVP'S case I think his ego will force a move away from United. He'd signed for Fergie and NOT Moyes.

Players like Anderson, Cleverly are just terrible.
And then you have the likes of Nani, Kagwa and Hernandez that typify the foreign player that has the talent but only stsrts playing football when they wan't to.

Fergie has really left Moyes with BIG PROBLEMS.

They are average. The players we have inbetween average and world class are players like Rooney, Carrick, Rafael, Jones, De Gea etc - the sort that actually are good enough to be in our starting line ups.

It is a magers job to manage i.e make the best of what he has got. Is moyes doing that right now.

In the last 10 years we have had weaker team than chelsea/arsenal/man city if we had accepted our players were simply not as good we wouldn't have had the same level of success.

Mr Mercurial

Last 5 games, welbeck, clevs and young have played well.

Even in 10 mins today young looked dangerous.

give them a break. they get nothing from midfield.

Thing is if you can be bothered to look back on my articles (you can just believe me if you want instead), I've been sl4gging these kind of players off for the majority of the season. It's not so much a moment of clarity, but something some fans are honest enough to see, but most others blindly refuse to see.

Young and Cleverley PLAY IN MIDFIELD!

Honestly, I'd love for these players to come good, I'd love for a core of English players to come through and actually give England a chance to do well at a WC or Euro's, but stop kidding yourself, they just don't cut it at a club like United

yes but we also need squad players and players like clevs, young and welbeck are good enough for that role

imo players like nani and anderson need to be shipped out, either always injured or far too inconsistent. i dont mean to bash them but they have had enough time to deliver and they haven't. they are just taking up squad positions that other players could have.

you either get a good performance followed by 5 poor ones. squad players need to be consistent and fill the gaps when need to an adequate level.

posted on 1/1/14

No there is an inbetween, but these players don't make the inbetween grade as they are average players.

Doing ok against some of the worst teams in the league doesn't change that.

We have won 2 games against the top half teams in the league, and in most of those games we've been very poor.

It's not good enough.
