Soldado's link up play in our last few games has been sublime at times. His cross for Ade against Stoke, his pass to Lennon yesterday, and his pass to Lennon against Stoke (which Ade almost ruined!)...there have been a number of really great moments from him.
But, he simply HAS to start burying these chances. The excuse of not getting any service won't wash any more, so I expect him to step it up in our next few games.
Yeah I agree under Sherwood he has been improving and doing some good passes e.g. Pass to Lennon. He needs to take his chances and score but Adebayor has been outstanding.

but boy has he oozed class since Sherwood has taken over

deary me - I don't mind people saying that he's improved but come on

Metro, you clearly have not been watching him then. Spurs fans will back me up, he has been superb since Sherwood has taken over. I'm not saying he is Messi, i'm just saying he has oozed class which he has.
But i also definetly agree with everyone, he does need to start burying those chances and we can't keep making excuses for him but his performances have been very encouraging.
He is twice the footballer of Darren Bent.
--------------------------------------------------------
Crikey! That bad?! maybe we should give Kane a run of games.
I don't really like to comment on articles once what I have to say has been said, perhaps more than once.
But I would like to say that I agree with the OP and thought how we have gone back to two up front, but in Soldado he has some superb creativity as well as a goal threat. Once one or two go in, the sky's the limit.
I think at this stage he just needs something to fall for him, as soon as that first open play goal under Sherwood comes (be it off a post or lucky deflection even) it'll do him the world of good.

Why not Defoe? He is more experienced.
I couldn't agree more with the OP, his all round play makes a big difference to us, and he's a real team player. OK, the goals aren't coming yet but they will..and if he keeps making so many chances for us then he more than justifies his place.

Soldado knows how to stay onside !!
Roberto will come good
I have been saying this for months now! Soldado has great skill & vision. His passing is subliminal & he is also unselfish, if a team mate is in a better position then he will pass to them.
And as hounslow's-finest has said he knows how to stay onside!
Don't know about "oozing class". Simply looking good with some good moments but far from spectacular.

Suarez is oozing class. So is Hazard. So has Rooney for much of the season. I'd hardly say a couple of good chances created in a few games means Soldado is oozing class.

He's a far more complete footballer than I thought he was. He has demonstrated wonderful vision and passing which I didn't think was a big part of his game.
I really feel that if he can get a couple of goals and raise his confidence he could be a lethal striker.

I like Defoe, but he's never scored goals consistently.
He is twice the footballer of Darren Bent.
-------
Well he cost twice as much so that's the least we could expect
I'm really glad he's playing with a bit more vigor now than a few weeks ago. I expect the goals to start flowing as well
Don - Soldado's pass to Lennon a diagonal through the Man Utd. defence into their area was sublime as good a pass you will see !!
He could be our new Sheringham, linking up play and creating chances for others.
At first I thought he was more of a Lineker type but his finishing has been ordinary so far, but the goals will come I am sure, just needs a bit of luck.
