He is a luxury player, we are not in the market for anymore luxury players as we already have 3 Torres ,Eto & Ba.

I don't think either Chelsea or Arsenal need Berbatov. Take it from a guy who saw him play every week, his talent is unquestionable but his mentality is. And when you are chasing trophies and have must win games to come, a guy who bottles it on the big occasion is not required.

Gazza as a set of options they're not so bad combined.

But finishing chances when we're on top of a game has been a recurring problem for us this season, and so in virtually every game we've lost having a consistent goalscoring striker probably would have turned them into wins, or at least draws.

gazza, a sharper striking force will be the difference of us coming 2/3 in this seasons league, instead of winning it.

We need to bring in a striker this month if we have genuine title aspirations.

Personally I'm not that bothered if we don't win the title this season but what I definutely don't want is for us to be in a dogfight for top four again.

Without a striker we run that risk, especially when you look at the unprecedented competition for top 4 places this season.

This window a CM is more of a priority than a CF for me, and it also seems to be that way in Jose's mind.

If our transfer business in the summer had been better we wouldn't be in this position now.

Superb I say that because we only have 3 actual CM options at the moment (I'm not gonna include Luiz or Oscar even though both I think can do a good job there). With a busy schedule I think more depth in that position is important. That's a position that needs more rotating than the striker position. While none of our strikers are good enough to be first choice, all of them are decent squad players and on their day any of the 3 can be good.

Gazza hopefully we will but that's only because we have a world class manager. Not because our squad is in great shape.

I agree. Sadly Essien barely counts these days anyway so we are currently very weak in CM with Lampard out for a month.

At least we have Luiz who can play in CM if needed.

I don't think its as simple as 1 or 2 signings winning us the title.

They are not scoring enough but then apart from Hazard and maybe Oscar/Lampard no one in our team has scored enough

I never said we have a bad squad Gazza. We have some great players.

Speaking of which do you not worry about what happens if Hazard goes off form ? Where do the goals come from then ?

That's a big concern for me with no reliable strikers.
