TCW I am impressed that you know one or two things
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't end up on a football forum by accident
Did Kakuta also used to smash it at youth level around the same time Brums?
Josh may be has the potential like Kakuta but may be the physical side is missing to compete in PL.
He looks really light weight
Not that I ever saw TCW. I was always left disappointed by him when ever I watched him!
Not saying he didn't though!
Well let's hope that Josh gets a run out and puts that Will Hughes to shame.
J-AP I went to the Reebok night game v Bolton under Carlo.
He bought Josh on with half hour to go and he just toyed with the Bolton midfield who tried unsuccessfully to kick him out of the game!
I would have been in favour of playing Josh over Essien (who should be sold this window) but the problem is if Josh makes an appearance for us he won't be able to play for anyone else (apart from Watford) this season, so we won't be able to loan him out.
Bearing in mind the fact that we're going to sign a new CM this window, and MvG should return before the end of the season, it just wouldn't be worth it.
The rule is annoying and I hope it changes.
How wouldn't it be worth it!
Has anyone got the squad list for tomorrow's game yet?
I have a feeling we'll play two strikers and Luiz back in from suspension as well as Mata who's got a bit of a point to prove.
Lewis Baker has been training with the first team so he may get on the bench again

Actually CSTP makes a good point, unless you consider it truly last chance saloon for Mceachren. If he has more time with us then a loan would probably do him better than a handful of appearances with us, and if he has no future with us a loan should improve his value more than a stint doing nothing with us would.
It's only if you occupy the rare ground that you do, believing Mceachren can make it with us given the chance to show it, that his playing for us tomorrow is a good idea.
TCW, if he does play he's only going to be cup tied for FA Cup games and there's been no suggestion as of yet that he's going out on loan.
Even if he were to go on loan again how many interested clubs are going to be bothered about not being able to play him in the FA Cup?
Add to that, we haven't signed another CM yet and even if MVG does come back, he's less experience than Josh at this level, and not likely to be back to his previous best (whatever that was) for some time!
Hence my
There is a rule that you can only represent two clubs in one season Brums. If he represents us and Watford we can't loan him.
So it's a big commitment and shows a lot of faith in Josh to play him.
Which is why I think it sadly won't happen.

it's not just the FA Cup he won't be able to play in. He won't be able to make a single appearance in ANY competition!
Now stop laughing/ridiculing my comment
I was browsing around one of Boro's message boards a few minutes ago and apparently there has been a few suggestions of us loaning them a few players, like Omerou, and possibly a few others - Including Josh.
A few of the posters were a bit reluctant of having him back given how his first spell there went.
Ah see were you're coming from then TCW.
I'd still rather see what he can do in our team though, all this loan business is getting tedious and I doubt doing the player much good, moving round different teams and trying to adapt to different formations and methods.
At the end of the day we need to know what he can do for us, not Swansea, Boro or Watford or anyone else!
That way we can make a decision on his future, be it here or elsewhere and the lad can finally start to concentrate on his game in a settled environment!
It makes me irate to think that he came into the team, performed and then never gets another chance with us. So i'm in your camp. But it's not a business headed camp so we're fecked.

That's the annoying thing TCW - he came in and outperformed some of his more illustrious counterparts and then dropped like a hot potato!

I'll rely on what real people tell me thanks Truth!
Huh. I have already admitted, I have to largely go off reviews and the odd highlights package and very occasionally possibly a game so it's weird to hear this clash of opinions.
Mind you, this is sort of like looking at ja606 isn't it? If you looked at the wrong thread on here you would think that Ashley Young was a serial murderer.
A few Boro fans on the prospect of Josh returning:
-
"any news if watford have extended josh mceachran's loan? sell leadbitter and bring josh in sounds like it could be on the cards.
-
I thought McEachran might do well in the slick passing Watford team . . . but it hasn't happened
-
he's very over rated and now stuck on the bench at a struggling championship side.
-
no, what did they say? i know some of them werent happy with his this season.
mceachran is living off the reputation of people assuming he is a top player just because he is english and come through chelsea's youth system.
-
Please god no!
Josh was one of the worst loan signings we've made in a lot of years!
-
watford paper says he has gone back to chelsea and unlikely to return... we might just be in for him
-
Josh was average but he certainly wasn't as bad as Bent, Kitson, Nimley, Osbourne, etc.
