I just want Arsenal and Chelsea to stay in the cup for as long as possible x
Decent draw me think.
Not too disappointed with the draw with Blackburn yesterday. I saw it as just a bad day at the office. It could have been worse. The boys need our support every step of the way including periods of blips.

I am....we were nothing short of awful yesterday. Another game needed, another team that will have to include the likes of Vinny, Zaba, Fernandinho, Negredo and the likes......when they could have been soaking up some sun in the UAE....watching some of the kids play the friendly.....and I'm sure the owner won't be too impressed that we can't send some first team players along now.

Well, if you consider our December schedule, then I think one can cut them some slack. And these type of results happen in cup games, As long as we are still in it, then its better than being knocked out.

Of course it's better to be still in it....it goes without saying. Cut them slack? What, for some of the performances we saw yesterday? Why?
All other teams have had the same kind of fixtures we have....and December will be nothing compared to what's coming up....so if fixtures were the reason...god help us over the next 10 weeks!

It's our dire depth of quality in our squad and 'crystal' fringe players that need to take a long, hard, look at themselves.....as does MP need to look at what he's got as replacements for our first 12/13 players...as to be fair, it's pretty average after that.
I don't think we were awful yesterday considering we were playing with a striker who appears clueless, a RB that was picked out of desperation and a DM who's vision suggested he was playing in a welders mask. We were playing a side who were obviously up for it yet still had 70% posession in an away game and I'm sure Pel learnt a lot about which players he should persevere with and which ones he should ship out.
I still maintain we played for a draw to get out of that UAE friendly.
It was just a bad day at the office for me. A lot of those players were the same that beat Bayern only a few weeks ago...
Despite the described failings in the above alluded to individuals, I don't even think we need an improved team to beat Blackburn at home. The exact same team could easily bang 3 or 4 past Blackburn on a different day without response x

Exactly
A bad day at the office is losing 5-0 to a championship side in the cup.
For a team like us an FA cup away tie is a pain in the a**e. For a team like Blackburn, a top prem side at home in the FA cup is the pinnacle of their season. Motivation counts for a lot! I also thought they played pretty tidy football for a championship side.
come on guys.....how many "just a bad day at the office" or "i'm sure the manager knows who's not good enough" comments can you lot drool out?
We've had equally poor games as good games this season...yet we still are in with a shot of 4 trophies.....come on guys, stop burying your head in the sand....we've just see Chelsea play a similar team away.....they make 2 changes and suddenly they should've had 4 maybe 5 goals....we looked like we could've struggled for another 90 minutes to score yesterday....and would've probably have conceded if it went to extra time!
Beauty,
Pretty sure we had a replay when we won the FA cup in 2011.
Some times, these type of games happen. Although not the preferred result, at least we are still in it. All teams do have a couple of bad games during the season. I mean we lost to Villa, Cardiff & Sunderland away.
One plus for me this year is the fact we have always turned up during the big games both home and away. That could play a huge part in where the PL lands come May.
Al I was concerned about was not picking up anymore injuries because unlike Chelsea we have a more important cup tie on Wednesday.
"We've had equally poor games as good games this season..."
You have got to be kidding...?

We scraped a draw at Notts County with a strong team and without the distraction of a League Cup Semi 4 days later.

how is beating west brom away poor?!
or beating liverpool at home poor?
I gave you the option of average as well......though some could no doubt be equally classed as poor for our top class squad that the pundits keep going on about!
or beating moscow away, on their plastic pitch only average?
I'm not sure if I have misunderstood you beauty, are you saying we have been bad in some games as much as we have been good in others, or that we have had the same amount of bad games as we have good games?
are you actually a city fan?

What, you saying we played well against Liverpool or WBA???? I'm not talking about 'rub of the green here'....I'm talking about performances that were 'good'.
I'm not sure on some of your scores either. I don't really get how beating Plzen 4-2 at home was good compared to beating Swansea away 3-2 was average btw, we were much better against Swansea than we were against Plzen and better than the scoreline suggested.
