On behalf of all the Blues who live in

And yet they still believe themselves to be the best fans in the world do our naughty neighbours.

I thought someone from the city should acknowledge and apologise for the incident.

We all know they'd have to wait a long time if it wasn't a Blue that did it

Here is the Hull supporters coach being attacked story from last week.

Thankfully no serious injuries, but that's down to pure luck

posted on 6/1/14

Who is to say that these attacks were carried out by Liverpool supporters or more importantly, people who have been in the ground?

As for the oldham one, on the BBC it says he wont talk to detectives. Lets not use his to score points.....it could well not be football fans. Just idiots

posted on 6/1/14

Arouna I have not mentioned that it was Liverpool supporters that did it.

I have apologised to supporters visiting Anfield and our city twice recently that on two separate occasions they had the misfortune of being attacked.

Tell me where I have accused Liverpool fans of carrying out the attacks and I will remove the text that says so

Let's not let that get in the way of Phil's faux support and heartbreak of what happened to these fans. We all know that this is instead another shameless attempt to attack Liverpool fans.

Again where have I said it was Liverpool supporters that committed the act.

Tell me where I say they are to blame and I will edit my article.

If not then if you have nothing else to say or spout off over then I bid you a good evening.

BTW TOOR surely you don't condone what happened to these fans innocently going home after a game of football in our great city.

Cowardly attack,whoever did it.
Let us hope that football violence is not returning after virtually being eradicated since the bad old days.

posted on 6/1/14

My sentiments exactly, people should not feel intimidated going to and leaving a football game wherever they are played

posted on 6/1/14

So its a cause of everton fans scoring points by apologising for the disgraceful action of individual/s. Just waiting for the spin were we get the blame as well. Lets just say phil is trying to claim the moral high ground for arguments sake Lets not pretend it doesn't happen the other way around. At the end of the day there is no place for it at football

Just checked out the oldham page. I dont think any of there fans will get this thread as there is only one othere thread there

Another Liverpool fan who misses the point of the article completely.

I am apologising to those visitors to our great city who were either on the receiving end of violence, witnessed the violence first han or read about the violence via social media or through the local news as I did.

I an also condemning the actions by these nasty pieces of work, but pointing it's not the norm as it's just a few bad eggs which each and every large town and city has so don't be afraid to visit Liverpool the city in future.

But you taggs look on it as others have as an attack on LFC's fans.Once again if I have put the blame or even mentioned LFC fans were involved then please tell me and I will immediately remove the passage that offends you.

If there is no mention of LFC fans being involved then I don't want or expect an apology from the likes of you obviously, but I would like you to at least condemn the violence shown to these vistors to this city like your fellow supporter ttliv87 has.

Phil
I would be surprised if either of the above was from this great city.
Titty likes to give it out but can't take it in return..

Looks like they had arranged a meeting to fight Phil.

That could explain why?
Best dropped now mate.

Lefty, unless you were involved in this yourself, there really is no need for you to cringe on behalf of our city.

Every right-thinking person knows that there are scvmbags who operate on the margins of our society, and that they exist particularly in the big cities. There are some people who will take a tribal view of it, but they operate in the same mental space as the scvmbags themselves. (And besides, nobody has posted on the Oldham board since 1066).

In 2002, a young student was killed in the centre of Manchester, a crime which the Police believe was motivated by the fact that he had a Scouse accent. I did not then, nor do I now, expect anybody to come onto a messageboard and cringe on behalf of the city of Manchester, because I do not suspect the entire population of Manchester of condoning the activities of the mentally defective scvmbag who did it.

What concerns me about this crime is the suspicion that it may represent more evidence of organised violence returning to footbal, and what leads to this suspicion is the fact that the victim is refusing to co-operate with the Police.

The rest of us all want the perpetrators caught, as a deterrent against the return of these f.vcked up activities around our stadiums, but this guy appears not to, so it’s difficult not to wonder whether he himself is part of the problem, in which case, getting slashed across the a.rse would be an occupational hazard of what he does.

A mate of mine who supports Charlton Athletic told me this week that 7 Charlton fans have recently been jailed for similar scvmbag activities, and what’s alarming about that is that Charlton were one of the few clubs that didn’t have a major problem with this kind of thing even in the 80’s. Add to that the number of Celtic fans and Man City fans arrested in Amsterdam, along with the evidence suggesting that the Hull bus-attack last week was also organised, and it appears that an alarming trend is beginning to re-emerge.

What I’d really like to know is what powers the Police have to prevent this happening (and I guess it’s more difficult to combat it in the streets surrounding stadiums than in the stadiums themselves), and what’s really not going to help them is if the victim himself is not willing to co-operate.

If he has a rational reason for not wanting to co-operate, then he really needs to tell us what it is, but until he does, he ain’t going to get my sympathy, because scvmbags deserve each other. It’s the rest of us that don’t deserve to have to witness these tedious fvckwits, using street-violence to work out their pathetic insecurities.

And let’s be clear...anybody who takes a tribal view of it is part of the problem...it really is time for our society to grow out of that. We can’t rely on our juvenile Press to take the lead in this regard (they are more likely to encourage it), so we’re goiing to have to grow up and do it ourselves.

I didn't realise he was stabbed 5 times from behind by all accounts Italian style(ie in the buttocks and lower legs so can't be done for attempted murder if caught).

ttliv87 is the only Liverpool fan that has actually understood by post and condemned the piece of work that did it.

So whatever run ins you have had with him in the past all I can say 'you are a decent poster on here'

Would I have been better posting nothing thus not even acknowledging that this event took place?

I have made an article on the matter (the only person who has by the looks of it) to highlight that things like this sadly do happen and sadly they happen the length and bredth of this country even now.

Liverpool is one of the safest large cities in the UK now so those wishing to visit Liverpool in the future to see the likes of those huge puppets this Summer again should do so without fear of attack

posted on 7/1/14

I Gree with some of what Wessie posted. If I were stabbed I would want the police involved. It does look like pre arranged trouble. These people dont have to be from the city, they could have even flown in from the continent.
One thing is for sure it shouldn't happen, football or in general.

Leftie, which part of the word 'scvmbags', which I used several times to describe the person. or people who did it, do you think does not comdemn them?

I posted it exactly the same time as you,so both yourself and ttliv87 have condemned the thug or thugs involved.

Liverpool is still a great city to live in and to visit
