Tha man Ancelotti, he say 'NO'.

Not seen him either and don't rely on you tube as they make even the worst player look good.

I hope we get him but also Berbatov. Both toget would cust us only £2-3 Mil and wages probably of £2 mil....not a bad investment of £5 mil for 6 months (even though Berbatov will probably sign for 1-2 years so it will be more in the long run but not as much as getting a star player now)

We're NOT going to sign Morata this month.

I've read that we're after the lifelong arsenal fan Jackson Martinez. He's an expensive giroud clone.

"Well for some reason this Clone can score quite a few goals unlike the orginal."

Perhaps the oppo he faces in Portugal compared with what Giroud faces in England has something to do with it?

Nah... couldn't be... could it?!

Morata is good player. He has the chance to win the league here. No chance In Spain's two horse race.

It probably does, Giroud tore up the French league and even lead them to a title.

Seriously guys what the hell is peoples' problem with Giroud. If we were sitting mid table out of all comps with an inferior goal difference to Spurs then I can understand people getting on our players' backs. FFS some of you call yourself a supporter yet you bltch and whine even when we are performing the best we have for years. You need to get some perspective on this matter. I for one am proud of the whole team, their commitment, attitude and results have been exemplary. Get behind the 'king team!

Hi Thatman,

No problem with him, I sing the Giroud song as loud as anyone!

Just think we can do better. He's a good squad option though.

mandingo should be shot

I'm usually fairly critical of Giroud, but what I do say in defence of him is that I'd love to see him play in a 2 up top, like Spurs have started with Ade/Soldado.

I think him and Walcott could work wonderfully, with OG as the deeper player. Unfortunatly, due to Wenger's well placed love for the midfield trio, we won't see it anytime soon

I've asked him before if he's a WUM. I've yet to have any reply. Maybe he's Giroud posing as a troll on the net to see how many people defend him?

Shot then have my family eaten

Can't say you don't deserve it, seriously dude did OG do something to your family when you were younger?

Mandingo does hate Giroud.

Also he told us we were getting Costa and it's not happened yet........

MANDINGOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

The people that make it their 'thing' that they hate a player are doing it for attention. It's the forum version of running around a coffee shop naked, screaming "here we go round the mulberry bush", and waving sparklers. If you were sitting in that coffee shop, you wouldn't wonder why the guy likes mulberry bushes, you would just think "that guy really wants attention... and has a tiny wang".

Ha! Great analogy. Although I'd be more concerned about the attention seeker setting off the sprinklers in the coffee establishment and forcing me to leave with a soggy croissant.

To be fair, Giroud is extremely poor relative to other title calibre forwards.

The last time a team won the EPL title with a main striker even remotely as bad as Giroud was Chelsea - with Drogba - in 2005.

posted on 8/1/14

He's nowhere near as bad as you think and I really don't understand what warrants the abuse!? His hold up play is exceptional, his passing decent. He's missed a couple of sitters but that was towards the latter part of his run where he clearly needed a rest but couldn't. Drogba had a worst record in France and England before he suddenly turned good. Bayern had Gomez and Giroud is much better then him imo.
