Yes Martinez was on holiday in the Caribbean, which is why he made himself available to go to Miami.
But who cares? I don't think a single Liverpool supporter would prefer to have Martinez over Rodgers, and I'm sure the same would be of Everton fans and Rodgers.
Each suits the respective club down to the ground. What's the problem?
I agree Red,both managers are doing very well for their clubs.
One is doing it on a decent budget, one is doing it with a minus net spend.
Not scoring points, just pointing out the facts.
Imagine the results if Roberto was given a similar budget to Brendan.
It doesn't always guarantee quicker progress but it must help.
I have always hoped for a manager with a long term plan, one who not having a big transfer budget would develop a squad of young players who build themselves into a team playing the managers style, and to his football philosophy.
Over three hundred comments I'm impressed.
It's pretty much the same 2 comments repeated 150 times each

Try to keep up with your multiple names lettuce.
Kone on the face of it has been poor, but it's harsh to judge him he was injured had a few games did ok but expected more then got injured for the season. We'd have been screwed without lukaku but even he is not perfect and goes missing at times but always offers that presence upfront. If he wants to be top top quality he really needs to work on quite a basic trait for a professional footballer, his first touch. At times it's that bad his second is a tackle.
Red but TOOR thinks I'm lettuce. Eeek.
He really has thrown those young lads in at the deep end. His plan must be to wait for the current first team to all retire so they can come through as a group.
Sounds like a plan
Everton - the multiple personalities club.
He really has thrown those young lads in at the deep end.
What young lads?
Exactly. ...
He is using the same squad. We need another managerIin to implement your wish of a squad of young players.
Maybe Rodgers
Managerlin ?
Martinex ?
Slow down, you are getting too excited.

Martinez not the right man for you then.
As Lawro once predicted " you won't win anything with kids"
Or was that Hanson?
Hansen I think. You need a good blend of youth and experience in my opinion you can have all the talent in the world but a well drilled disciplined and experienced pro can offer a different quality that imo is essential to guide young players.
That's why I think McCarthy is doing so well he has Barry there alongside him.
You dont really know...or dont you know what you dont know.
Blackbeard, a nice mix helps. Imagine McCarthy lined up with another young player

Some would mix youth with youth.
That is there prerogative just not mine
Lawro was wrong you know.
Sorry Hanson.
Lawro's predictions are mostly ignored.
Jelavic off to Hull by the looks of it.
You guys got a striker lined up? Leaves you a bit light with Kone injured.
