We'll probably see this month. However, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he went for at least that. And if you can't understand the connection then your first line seems appropriate for yourself, not me. Keep the insults to yourself.

So a player not on loan and not played at chelseaswill go for a similar value that was paid for him...
A chelsea player on loan and not playing...his value increases?
He's been here from Monday to Saturday........
Who is on loan and not playing?
If Lukaku has a good second half to this season or/and World Cup then I expect his value to show this.
Whether he is out of favour or not.A 20yr old forward capable of 15-20 goals a season will be highly sought after by many clubs across europe.
At the end of the day his performances on the pitch will determine his value as he will attract bids from quite a few clubs

My typo
Lukaku is on loan and not playing for his parent club.
I would say a player on loan but playing (well) would hold or improve his value more than a young player not getting game time at his parent club. Chelsea are a different case to most clubs as they have the squad and spending power to be able to loan out good young players.
I will be very interested to see what price he moves for, if Matta moves at all.
The contract situation plays into buying clubs hands. Rooney this summer is hardly going to command the fee he woudl have two years ago(I know I shouldn't throw in others as a comparison)
If Lukaku goes for £20-30m I will be shocked.
its my phone for gawds sake!!
Yeah I think it's your brain
Lukaku could easily go for £20m. A young player who is playing well is always more expensive as you have to pay for his potential also.
Although if he has a good second half if the season, I can't see why Chelsea wouldn't being him back and play him.
I could see Lukaku going for £20m, not just because of his form. He's young. He's played in the PL for a few years, no settling in time. He's shown he can fit into a squad and maintain his form, at both West Brom & Everton, at a different club.
He'll be a ready made striker for the club that wishes to but him. A player from abroad will be more of a gamble.
These things will increase his value IMO.

What brian?
TOOR.
If you have to pay for potential then Martinez slapping a minimum on Barkley is too low then?
£50m minimum...on Barkley is too low then?
No of course it's not too low.
Lukaku has been performing at PL level very well for 18 months.
Barkley has been performing very well for barely 6 months.

If I were a manager I'd be slapping massive fees on my players I don't want to sell. It sends out a message.

Yep it sends out a message to the player and his agent to get a new and much improved contract on the table as the club have declared how desperate they are to keep you.
Prime example is Suarez just recently
I dont know how we would ever pay someone £200, 000 a week.
Thats three and a bit Seamus Coleman' s

We couldn't pay anyone £200k a week. No doubting suarez is a very good player ( evil ugly scun bag ) but the money some players get is sickening
