Please can we stick to Chelsea news. This guy just hasn't endeared himself to some fans. If he was as good as he thinks he is he shouldve put up a fight for his place. He may well turn out to be a good player but I'll be intrested to see what he does the first time he's dropped or rested at wolfsburg

Well we are going to get around 10-15 million profit for him, so it is Chelsea News.

I know mate. I'm in a sarcastic mood today and this guy joined us so long ago and spent more time on loan then with us. When he's finally given his chance he fails to impress. Grateful for the profit. This is hopefully the new club policy. We can off load those not up to it for a decent sum

Bovril I had high hopes for De Bruyne as well, especially after he got MOM in the first game of the season against Hull.

Sad that only a few months later he looks like he will be leaving the club.

To be honest I never got the impression he really wanted to be a Chelsea player and if that's the case I won't be sad to see him leave.

He just was not good enough. 2 seasons ago, maybe if we had that team he would have played a lot more, but now he just wasn't much different to what we have and definitely not better.

Hopefully of load him and Moses in summer and bring back Piazon.

Some very short sighted comments here

In what way BK ?

I wanted De Bruyne to succeed more than anyone and I thought he would at Chelsea.

But it would appear that he isn't willing to fight hard for his place and at Chelsea there just isn't room for players who don't really want to be here.

If he wasn't willing to fight for his place than why did he perform so well pre-season and was MOTM first game he played? If he wasn't willing to fight for his place he would have even come back on loan. But first bad game he had, against United in that 0-0 draw, he was sent to train with the reserves that week and didn't make an appearance for a month. What type of treatment is that? Any played would not be able to acclimatise when they're getting 1 start a month. The guy has played more minutes against Chelsea than he has for us in the PL. Jose has miused him. Another young player who we have failed to develop, another one who'll be a hit at another club. At least we are well stocked in the AM position so him leaving won't be as bad as Sturridge but it still bothers me.

Thats exactly how I feel. KDB had me excited when he was performing in Germany. For Jose to come out and hint that he wasnt prepared to adapt like Hazard tells me he hasnt the stomach for the fight.
whether he suceeds elsewhere or not is irrelevant. He failed at Chelsea

Boll.ocks from TBK.

I watched him play the last 7 games, and he hardly impressed me. In fact I didn't see what the hype was about and already thought he would not adapt to this league easily at all, his best move would have been going on loan at a PL club first then coming back.

He had good early season form which may have been the reason for his inclusion in team of the year, but then again if the German team of the year is anything like PL team of the year, then it's nothing much to go by.

I called it in the summer he is making a bad move, playing for a team around relegation zone and being one of their big players (for the first 2/3 of the season) and thinking he can come into this team and settle in is extremely short sighted.

Thinking he would be a top player seeing him perform in pre-season is again extremely short sighted.

I changed my username to KDB because I was taking in by the hype everyone was making and the YouTube highlights I was watching. But then having watched him over full games, he was nothing special. A bit of a Sessengon from two seasons ago, good little player for a small team that had a decent season.

Looks like he was sent to play with reserves as he couldn't handle being a small fish in a very large pond.

What was even more funny reading was seeing people write Schrulle off.

Pre-Season guys always fail for us (Marin etc). I think he was a backup buy like Marin in case we didnt qualify for CL.

To call explicitly saying KDB didn't train well and doesn't have the mentality to be a Chelsea player is not hinting.
---------------
Going on to say he's training very well is not so subtle either.

KDB getting 10 goals and 10 assist in the league, i.e. similar stats to Schurrle is not the same as 'Sessegnon from two years ago'

posted on 10/1/14

Schrulle getting the same stats as KDB for a team battling and finishing in a CL spot, was not the same for many, having reading many had written him off before even kicking a ball for us.

Sessegnon got similar stats a couple of seasons back for a Sunderland trying to avoid relegation.

Point I'm making is, he was overhyped by many of our fans, you being one of them.

Schurrle's 3 goals and 1 assist in however many minutes he's got this season is hardly inspiring. What's you definition of overhyped? Was I looking forward to him coming back into the team - yes - and why shouldn't I? He had just come off an excellent loan spell and was Belgium's best player in the WC qualifying. This superior vitriol that you keep spouting about how you somehow foresaw everything was not what you were posting last summer for sure.

You just said about Schurrle having 3 goals and 1 assist this season so far being hardly inspiring, which i do agree with to a certain degree he should probably have about 5 or 6 goals by now. As for assists I do not take any notice on assists by ANY of our players i look for CHANCES CREATED as that is a better indication as to how an attacking player is performing, I don't have Schurrle's stats but with the minutes that he has played if he has created less than 10 chances then i would agree that he is uninspiring if he has created between 10-29 chances then i would say he has been about average but if it's 30+ he has been very inspiring.

"This superior vitriol that you keep spouting about how you somehow foresaw everything was not what you were posting last summer for sure."

You can always go back and check how I was almost certain he would fail at Chelsea coming back this season.

"Schurrle's 3 goals and 1 assist in however many minutes he's got this season is hardly inspiring."

Yet he is getting picked ahead of KDB, and putting in the shift when getting picked.

"He had just come off an excellent loan spell and was Belgium's best player in the WC qualifying."

Like I said from a poor team down there trying to avoid relegation. International form again not much to go by, Hazard has been pretty disappointing at international level when compared to league level, Mikel I keep hearing is a beast at international level.

Pointing out the ridiculous hype that surrounded him at some points last season and pre-season, with you being one of them.
