Good thread
Some of the selections I've seen from our fans, are just madness.
Nice to have these options, but not sure what's te best formation
It will be interesting to see his starting eleven today.
Kebe and Stewart to start...? I doubt it. I think he'll put one in the eleven and one as sub.
Be interesting to see how our centre mids get on with two proper wingers either side in the near future
Harrogate
Luckily sheff weds have a poor midfield, so we will hopefully we'll be fine
Agree with Eric, I see Stewart starting and Kebe warming the bench. 4-4-2 is the logical formation.
I hope we can arrest the slump and use today as a springboard for a better run of performances and results.
Good luck Leeds United!
Very interesting, Brian
I had expected he would retain Peltier ahead of Byram, assume he thinks Peltier is stronger defensively. Byram can be naïve defensively.
I am surprised he has gone for Pugh, but that's because I was sort of expecting he would go to 4 at the back and I am not sure Pugh is the best option in that formation. Makes sense as he is going with 3CBs.
great to see Lees on the team sheet
So he's kept the 3 CB's, taken out a striker but presumably thinks the two new boys will provide a striking edge as well as acting as providers (and, important, a place for the midfield and defence to release balls to)
What do I think? Well, if it works it will have been the right decisions - it keeps us solid at the back, for a difficult away game (I hope), there's a big pressure on the 2 central MF's not to be overrun, so hope the two new wide players do their bit, and there's a question whether Ross on his own will be able to perform. (again, new boys need to help out there)
Interesting. I knew it would be. I honestly did not know what BM should do, but will of course be the first to criticise if it proves the wrong decisions
I am sort of pleased he has started both new players. Afterall we were not doing that well, and he has retained those parts of the formation that were working best. So here's hoping
32 mins gone and neither have exactly set the world alight yet.
On that basis Eric, they fit in well with the rest of the team already.....
Stewart looks lost at the moment
I'm feeling a tad sorry for the newbies. Can see why the other guy went to Burnley.
Stewart doesn't look like he enjoys physical commitment.
Austin as poor again, I'd oik him, bring on Smith.
Go to four at the back.
BM has been found wanting.
I left myself the option to criticise
Wise
Good call by me to bring Smith on though eh...?
It produced fireworks, no question.
You and I have covered ourselves in glory today, we could jointly takeover from BM, Eric (*)
(*) it woyuld have to be a very high salary to get me to take that job
there is a contender for quote of the season from me above.....
