agree....shld be saying...he's one of our best players and its upto me to make him part of the team...and i need a guy like this in around the squad and the inner sanctum....useless skipper.
I think its more closing shop he is protecting himself and Flower. I don't like the way Kevin Pieterson carries on, But he does see that Cook and Flower are making huge howlers when it comes to team matters.
Cook should go as captain.. Pieterson should go when we get someone to fill his position.. They are all a bunch of self indulgent pigs. The most important thing should be England.
Cook's got to be one of the worst interviewees in the world. Murmurs a horrific sound every two seconds... eehhrrrmm.....eehhrrrmm. Even Misbah speaks better than him .
He's got to be sent packing as captain. He's not a leader and is too weak. KP is the perfect captain to get England playing some half decent cricket again. Flower should have also gone.
The day Pieterson gets the England job again. Its the day I stop bothering about England cricket.. Why the hell give a job to a man whos only ever been interested in himself.
At present, I do not see better choices than Cook.
I think Broad would be a better choice.. with Stokes in the team he can bowl himself less and concentraite on his captaincy..
I'd still go kp......but broad next best shout.
Need a strong minded leader and cook is one of the weakest leaders in the Team!
Prior would bring a tough streak to the role but would struggle with other aspects (still better than Cook though)

Since May 2009, England team has lost only 3 of 18 test series.
Maybe we are overreacting to the ongoing trampling by the kangaroos.
Cook took over in August 2012 though and tbh we have not looked convincing since.
Since Cook became the skipper, England lost 1 of 5 series. Not bad when we look at it this way.
By actual match count, it looks bad though at 7 wins and 6 losses.
Also drew with New Zealand!
I am not questioning his ability as a batsman but his ability to react to situations on and off the field as well as ability to set a field for bowlers!
I see that I have a couple of 1* but with no real contribution as to why
Cook sounded very amateurish the other day when he said something like:
"The total was defendable had the bowlers done there job"
I was shocked at him saying that considering how inexperienced the England attack was.
Just seen his dismissal of todays game.. whats he trying to do? either hit the ball or leave it. Hes in a right mess right now.

Y do people want Broad as a potential Captain?
The guy is a petulent cretin who moans when he doesnt get his way. Bowls well in 1 test where he takes the bulk of his wickets then disapears for the remaining games knowing his spot is safe.
