The game against United when they (the ref) ended our unbeaten run. FACKING DISGRACE!

United game. Inept or corrupt is the ever lingering question.

My top 3 are these two and the Newcastle 4-4 when we were 4-0 up at half time and we had possibly the most biased 45 minutes of reffing I have ever seen by Phil Dowd. He even walked off laughing and joking with the Newcastle players.

But as Arsenal fans we soooo many to choose from its ridiculous

Barcelona where they sent off Van Persie for shooting less than a second after the whistle. And then allowed the Barca players to grab several of ours by the neck without even a word.

Newcastle 4-4. The referee got carried away and wanted the draw.

Recently, the linesman against City. He was a disgrace. Ruled out two good goals and constantly ended promising attacks with poor decisions. The referee wasn't a problem, but the linesman was.

I did probably go with the Van Persie sending off at Barcelona. It was like the referee doing it and not giving a dame how bad it was to do so. I tried to stop watching but could not. It was so painful. We defended all there attacks with easy and i believe Van Persie would have had one more chance to kill the game which eventually fail to Nick and he fluff it.

You could also add that we've had a couple of times we looked like challenging for the title but had runs of 2 or 3 games with awful refs making sure we lost and dropped off the pace. I think the Newcastle 4-4 was one like that. People talk about us bottling it but the refs had a big hand in it as well.

With Man U dropping off the pace Ive noticed that they don't seem to be getting the favouritism they used to and am hoping it will move to us instead to keep the league more competitive (i.e. not just 2 clubs challenging)

I'm normally loath to criticise referees, being one myself and this knowing how hard it can be, but the United game at the end of the unbeaten run and the Barcelona with RVP's red card were both ridiculous. The former the ref was abysmal the whole game, and the latter while only one decision was about as wrong a decision as I've ever seen and completely ruined the rest of the game.

This season it was Anthony Taylor against Villa in our first game and the linesmen in our City game shouldnt be allowed to ref. again
