the 3 away wont win but the rivals at home will imo. But I cant see us getting anything at Chelsea at the moment.

It is becoming quite frustrating that the only time our rivals are dropping points is when they are playing each other. Just shows that they are pulling out consistent performances.

Heck, we're so inconsistent, we may very well beat Mourinho at Stamford Bridge

If Arsenal win tomorrow all the current top seven will have won this weekend. Minus the Chelsea-United fixture next Sunday, I don't think that'll repeat itself next weekend. I'd expect Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool to win. But Newcastle might not as West Ham, or Everton at West Brom. Swansea could beat Spurs too.

United have won 5 of the last 6 league games and if I was a United fan I'd be pretty pis sed off with the defeat your team suffered to Spurs on New Years day.
Sad fact is, all the top 7 are winning their games with each round that passes by.
Loosing at home to Spurs was not part of the so called revival.

I'd bite your hand off for a draw right now.

we have been pretty bad against the smaller teams and this is where we must improve

You've been pretty bad against the good teams as well. Meaning the tier down from the top3. Your Everton's, Newcastle's and Spurs.

We've been bad against all our rivals, bar Arsenal.

The Chelsea home game was an odd one though... Hard to tell if we played well or not, with mourinho's stifling tactics

I was there, seemed like both sides were happy to take the draw once we'd seem how Chelsea set out.

I think it's fair to say we've been pretty bad full stop!!! Dropping points, is dropping points, doesn't matter against who. No point in looking back at who we have lost to, simply need to concentrate on our upcoming games and try to pick up as many as possible.

The problem is there are as many signs of us turning the corner, as there are of us capitulating again. Normally we respond so strongly in adversity, but that is lacking this season, if we can increase confidence and really buuld belief and momentum, then there is still plenty to play for.

Exactly!

If a team managed to beat teams from 8th-20th home and away and lost every other game, they'd still comfortably be in the Champions League.

Yeah, but what team ever does that? Don't get me wrong, no team going for the title can afford to drop too many points against the lower-placed teams, but our problems are simply dropping too many points against all teams, no matter where they are in the league.

It is a tough game but this is a game Moyes is used to from his experience at Everton. Defend well, contain, hit them on the break.

Tough ask but not impossible

Kinsang, wasn't stating that teams regularly do this, but just wanted to show the important of beating teams in these regions [supporting De Gea's Legs point].

The saving grace is the Liverpool play Everton the week after ... So if we go 8 points behind, we could quickly claw back a couple if they draw

Darkphoenix - I do agree with the sentiment, I just feel that our performances in general against all the teams in the league have been underpar - one senses (or hopes) that it is turning around, but the fragile confidence of the team is matched by the anxiety of the fans!
