Maybe the reason it took so long was partly financial. I'm sure Burlesconi's funds have drastically lowered over the past few seasons, Milan definitely don't seem to be the European powerhouse they were not so long ago.
And he won the league for them
Shame, not a bad manager.

They held on to players that were well past their sell by date too which didn't help.
Shït manager. Took too long for them to sack him. When are we following suit?
Again, I think that was because of financial limitations on what they could spend on getting replacements.
Sad to see really, you want to see the big 3 northern Italian teams fighting for titles really.
Mailans and Juve 1982?
Not very up on my Italian Geography
Yeah, historically they have usually been the big 3. Won 55 Scudettos between them
To be fair he got Sassuolo promoted and won the double with AC Milan so he's hardly a terrible manager but he's had an absolute shocker this season, as have the players who of course escape pretty much scot free whilst the manager and coaching staff carry the can.
Allegri has been a clown this season. You only have to look at his team selections and tactics to realise this.
You can say the players don't get the blame yet it's the players that have actually carried Allegri and allowed him to stay in his job so long.
He won the league because he was carried by Ibra and Thiago Silva. El Shar and Balotelli carrying Milan last season were the only reason they got top 3.
He's been deservedly sacked. It should have happened a long time ago as the damage he's done is huge.
Brilliant example of why giving time to a manager is not necessarily a good thing.

Aye he definitely deserved to be sacked, you can't take a club like Milan to 11th and keep your job, no arguments there.
The point regarding the players was more general than specific to Milan, it just annoys me that players don't seem to be held as accountable for a bad run of form as the manager, if anyting some get rewarded for failure with new contracts and bonuses.
Seedorf is apparently going to be the new manager, anyone think he'll save their season?
I know what you mean, but personally I think the buck starts and stops with the manager.
No, Arab.
They should go for Hiddink.
Seedorf? Moyes Allegri must be choosing his successors too.
