Disagree that the team with the best defence will win it - you only need to look as far as last season to see that it doesn't work like that. United conceded more goals than any of the other top 4 teams, but massively outscored everyone, and City are the team doing that this season.

Don't agree. Points and goal difference are far more important.

Arsenal's defensive record is also on par with Chelsea and Everton.

Chelsea and Everton have same goals conceded as us.

West Ham have one of the highest number of clean sheets in the PL but are 17th....says it all.

Mertesacker is absolutely fantastic. He was written off by the media when he first moved here and unfairly so imo. He's the player senderos was meant to become. Closest player we've ever had to Tony Adams.

Koscielny is my personal favourite. Although he's abit rash at times and does have a mistake in him you can just tell the guy absolutely loves defending. His best performances always come when he's up against the best. What a find by Wenger.

Sagna was another gem found by Wenger. Been here for a long time and has always been one of our most consistent performers. Alot of non arsenal fans don't seem to rate him due to him not being great attacking wise but a defender ahould be able to defend first and thats what Sagna does.

Gibbs like sagna is brilliant defensively. Can get forward well too but is lacking with his final ball. Been very consistent and its good to see an academy player as a first choice.

Then there's the back ups. Monreal a regular in the spanish national squad. That enough should explain how good he is. People will point at the poor game he had against city but he's been immense throughout the season. Vermealen although is still third choice has been involved abit more in recent weeks and hasn't looked out of place. And last but not least there's jenkinson. Most of us don't rate him but when sagna was out injured he did well and alot of us didn't want him to gwt dropped. He still has a future here as the talent is there.

This is the Aston Villa that beat City and Arsenal this season right?

You can't take any game as given. This season, the premier league is the highest quality league in the world. The top clubs in Germany (Bayern) and in Spain (Barcelona) are superior but the overall quality is extraordinary. Every team in this league can give you a game and seriously threaten you. Villa were poor for much of yesterday but the likes of Weimann and Benteke are still players to be feared.

Our defence is dope.

Nah, the teams at the bottom of the prem are crap. There have been a few shock results against the top teams, but overall the quality has been terrible. There's a reason there's such a disparity between the top 9 and the rest of the league.

Most of the teams in the top half of the table are beating the crap teams, a few shock results doesn't change that, and the football offered up by those teams on the whole has been woeful.

The standard of the top teams in the prem, United withstanding, however, has been very good this season.

Best defence (tied) and 3rd best attack yet the numpty Sheriff John Brown (named after a racist!!!) still has only negatives to throw out
