4. Platini has complained that since the award went to FIFA, the emphasis has been more on individual performance rather than team successes being taken into account. What should be the primary factor into the voting?
---------------------

Individual performance over the season.
Teams have their own 'award ceremony' already....................it's called winning trophies

its all irrelevant, just another night out for the paparazzi , couldn't give a monkeys

3. Did Ronaldo cry because someone had told him that despite a below-par, injury-hit year for Messi, he only pipped him by 3% of the votes?
--------------------------------------------

Love how Ronaldo always says he doesn't care about the Ballon d'Or every year, but starts greeting when he wins it and gets his wean up and everything

Shows how much of a Messi complex he's really got.

To be fair they both desperately want to win it hence their suspect voting. Also ronaldo threatening to snub the awards (think he might have snubbed it previously) and messi saying something along the lines of "I've had some injuries this year..... But ronaldo deserved it".

Greatteams,

We'll never know for sure and if it didn't they'd never admit it. I just think that FIFA could have scheduled the deadline better beforehand knowing that the playoffs were coming up.

After seeing the voting it's baud all like the Eurovision

Vote for your mates

Pointless award, seeing as you see who votes for who

Messi voted for Barca players.

So did Iniesta

Same with international managers

And Steven Gerrard voting for Suarez<laugh
His only vote

Of course extending the voting period was a wise decision.

You said yourself that Ronaldo was the deserving winner, so if the extension was pivotal in that, then it was 'Best for Business'.

If Platini was complaining then he is off the mark. It is an individual award, so individual records are all-important. It would have been a travesty if Ribery had won it.

It's been refreshing that in recent years the winner has been the best individual player - regardless of huge team success. Based on team success, Sneijder should have won in 2010 and Ronaldo in 2012, but Messi was the standout player and deservedly took the honour. Likewise CR7 in 2013. A welcome change to the likes of Cannavaro winning in 2006.

Your Real Madrid complex dictates you'd be devastated Ronaldo won the Ballon d'Or

Hence millions of articles created by you when anything good or bad happens in relation to them

You made a claim, I asked you to back it up. You've failed so far, must try harder or jog on

"Millions of articles created by you.."

Only ever made about 20 articles in the 2+ years I've been on here, of which the majority have nothing to do with Real Madrid.

So we've established you're a mug, now we've established you're a mug that makes claims he can't back up and can't count. Not an awful lot going for you is there?
