Utd fans don't get worked up for this competition, it's below them so they won't get worked up if they lose out.
JA on the other hand.
Haven't the club put free transport on for the travelling fans?
They are offering free transport to combat the extortionate prices Man U are charging for tickets, but I would imagine that the majority, like my good self, are avoiding the organised transport in order to get there in very good time for a few pre match bevvies..
9,000 tickets, that's us being out sung then.
Both of us have massively important league games to get over this weekend before we can really get our teeth into the cup game..

----------------------------------------------------------------------
There could be 9 travelling supporters and they would still outsing us at OT
That's 9,000 (apart from a few bairns - under 16s) paying a minimum of £45 per ticket, compared to £10 each at The Stadium las week
Man. U. must be either really hard up or just plain greedy 'stewards . . . . I know which one is the most likely

Pretty sure it wasn't a tenner for United fans.
Also, it isn't our fault you cannot fill the stadium without pretty much giving tickets away.
Under the circumstances, the type that you're probably not familiar with, 25,000 Sunderland fans (not counting the 'away' bit) was a decent turnout, regardless of the cost
Isn't it easy to ridicule from the high ground . . . . you probably consider yourself to be so much better than us, Babes
The price for all fans at the SOL was £20 a ticket..We are paying between about £45 and £60 for ours at Old Trafford...Pretty steep by anyone's book..
As I said . . . . I know which one is the most likely

BOTH CLUBS have to agree to ticket prices. Each team gets an equal share of the income from ticket sales.
I'd say take it up with Sunderland if you have a problem how much/how little you get charged.
You're getting free transport to old Trafford, there's a saving straight away.
I don't have a problem, Barf I merely commented about the quick sell-out of the Sunderland A.F.C. section, despite the tickets being comparatively massively more expensive than they were for the 5,500 'away' supporters in the first leg
You're right, Brutus, about the free transport being a saving for some but we didn't know about it when we booked our tickets, so that invalidates your suggestion that we only bought tickets because of it So that's what it is . . . . a bonus, which is greatly appreciated
You shouldn't be so 'high and mighty' all of the time, you know
I'm certainly not getting free transport to Old Trafford, and that will go for thousands more like me who also don't like the strict regulations that go with kind of event..I will be drinking somewhere in Manchester my mid afternoon if all goes to plan..
Some people just want to undermine others, Al, with a need to tell people that they think that they are better than them
Insecurity is obvious ;(
How are things with you mate? I passed what you told me on to Smug, as I know you two keep in touch.. I hope you don't mind..
No . . . . I've spoken to him about it, and I'm having a pint with him before ( and probably after ) the Harrier game on sarrada
They're okay, and things will, presumably/hopefully, settle down after the funeral tomorrow
I'm on nightshift both Friday and Saturday nights this week, so will not be having any beer before or after the game..
Drinking in a place called Heywood before the game, which I believe is not far from Manchester..
Clitheroe is the usual place around that area for the 'Sheels branch, mind
I'm not sure it is the official branch we are going with, as we are having to pay for the buses, unlike the official branches..They are also not too strict with the no alcohol rules on the bus, as long as you make a little effort to conceal it, they are usually OK..
I meant to say.."I'm sure it is NOT the official branch..
