Great post, LeedsLuvr. Too bad that most people here cannot wake up and smell the coffee, or maybe they have accepted mediocrity.
Well this is so familiar, again Fans calling for the manager to go when:
1. he hasn't been given time
2. he inherited a mess and is busy trying to clear that up
3. players have to be offloaded but nobody wants them
4. Takeover and owners delaying things as usual
Why can't we all agree to give someone a chance for once? 10 managers in as many years is one reason why we are where we are. Do you guys never learn?
Give him time and he will succeed.
The only way I'd chamge my mind is if there was someone guaranteed to work miracles quickly, there isn't get real!
Its actually mindblowing that people are writing Jimmy Kebe off already after 2 games....that's unless we have a few wums on here, which is a very strong possibility!
I don't just sit behind a keyboard or sit in my armchair and comment on everything negatively, I watch football. Jimmy Kebe is a fantastic footballer, he is 29, he is not deadwood, he isn't 100% match fit.
And for what its worth I thought he had a decent first half!
Kebe isnt fit by the look of it so will reserve judgement, the other fella imo is useless but will be happy to be proved wrong,
Great magician
Would you resign from a 250k a year job ???
Stewart and kebe, whilst it is early, I think aren't the answer
But has always will back them at the games
Optimistic that Kebe will come good. Think bringing in Stewart at the same time was a mistake, though.
Revolving door management is not the way for stability. People were saying last August, "mid table at best" "average squad.." . On balance, the whole season has been a midtable affair. So why are ppl so upset? Did folk expect more?
I saw our position not long ago and thought "maybe we could pushnfor autos here!". Then reality kicked in and balance was restored. If we are mid table by the end of the season bit comfortable, will folk be satisfied?
Bmac is under so much scrutiny right now, but sack him? Really? What has hen done to warrant sacking? We are on a losing syreakmyes, but how much is the managers fault. IMO since the takeover malarchy arose our team has nose dived. I'm inclined to blame the men upstairs, more so than the manager. Yes Brianmhas blame and yes he should be held accountable, but not so much that it detracts from the bigger problem, which is the rotten core of our club.
Biggest job & most pressure he will ever have
The squad isnt good enough at the moment and needs investment we all know that, im still backing the manager and would like to give him time, he doesnt miss one on ones and open goals but would like to see some improvement on the playing side but until some half decent investment comes in we will still end up with the mish mash of players we have seen over the last few years and see results like the Histon, Preston, Forest, Blackpool, Rochdale and Wednesday.
6 people like the fact that ......
1. Were linked to Luta and Moore
2. He signed Murphy, Hunt and Kebe
3. Were as bad as last season
4. Warnocks players have out done BM's
He deserves the rest of the season here but he s nothing special
I'm all for giving a manager time, but there has to be a plan to get to a certain position (a promotion-challenging team) by a certain time. It should be possible to plot progress against this plan.
Let'sgetbehind Leeds - fully agree with your four points. However, looking at point 3 we're bringing in players who nobody will want at the same rate that the contracts are running down on our existing players that nobody wants. Hence he's not actually making progress on point 2.
BM should be judged at the end of this season, and will be by GFH or the new owners. So far, he is on target to meet the objective set for him by GFH, namely to finish in the top 12 this season- not promotion, which would be an over-achievement.
Can't you resign from JA606 instead?
