Explicitly being told he will be another Saha.
With wages/bonuses set accordingly to Spurs getting a CL slot.
Does that sound like Berbatoss to you ??

I'm still surprised Levy would have him back, good enough or not. Personally I think it's borderline, and would rather we took a punt on a youngster with something to play for.

Only a dog returns to its vomit!
No sloppy seconds for me,get a young eager thing in

Such as?

Wouldn't mind Kevin Volland from Hoffenheim
Give them Sigurdsson plus 5m and we'd have an exceptional young German striker on our books.
Regarding Berbatov, he'd want 80k a week on a 2 year deal at least and probably wouldn't start ahead of Ade/Soldado. Think we should rather invest in a new LB as we're pretty well covered seeing as Lamela and Chadli can also play the supporting striker role

Half you lot wanted Ade marched out of the club....now he's the facking Daddy!
Players aren't alone in being fickle
If Berba returned feeling that he had to win the fans respect back and played his balls off to win us over, then great, welcome back
If he just mooches around the pitch expecting the team to revolve around him then
trouble is we'll never know until it's too late.

They first loaned, then sold Sigg because he wasn't getting in their team. What makes you think they'd want him back, or, he would go back?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure they'd take him back. Still young and better than any of their midfielders. Salihovic's level is dropping by every game.
Don't know if Siggy would like to go back, but he knows the club and their fans still love him.

we knew what we were buying, it's not as if we're suddenly..."hey this Adebayor is a bit temperamental"
Devonshire
Ade was in his prime though, and had a great season with us on loan.. 5m was a bargain. Berbatov's washed up and likely looking for his last pay cheque.. i'm with Tim on this one, pass.

The fans do love him, is the same manager still there though? If he is, no chance him going back.

No they have a new manager. Think they had about 4 new ones since Siggy left.
Hoffenheim know Kevin Volland will leave soon, so a a player plus cash deal might suit them. Especially one they know.
But as I said, if we do buy someone I prefer a new LB to a striker Think we're pretty sorted in that position.
