Mourinho seems to think you can only be successful playing a certain type of football. He has never had stylish, attractive teams. Even at Real, they played counter-attack and if he could have got away with it, he probably would have dropped Ronaldo, but he would have been lynched by the fans.
The Mata transfer aside it is a shame a player of his ability is not playing regularly.
The article is correct however, in that Mourinho’s teams have not always been the most pleasing on the eye but give him his dues they have been successful.

He's been hugely successful everywhere he's managed so why should he change his ways to accommodate anyone?
who is anyone to judge how a manager wins things
jose is on of the best managers in history and you idiots come on here and doubt the way he does it
Christ the world is full of morons
Scanning as many media outlets as possible, can't find much news. Is the only source on Mata this Balague idiot?
Any links would be appreciated

To be fair it is an improvement on your original post.

"Seriously? You are trying to compare the success of Pulis with the success of Jose, you find that a valid comparison"
His point is people are allowed opinions about Pulis and his style of football, why is this guy taking offense when it comes to Jose?

Whatever opinion you have of Mourinho football is a form of entertainment. Mourinho’s record or achievements have never been in question.
The style of football he implements has however. Many do not like it and the fact he is prepared to sacrifice creative ability, for a more industrious approach only goes to highlight that his brand of football is not exactly entertaining.

Of course they are, but you cannot compare their relative success rates can you?
Jose is a stubborn bastad and wants things his way, even if that means selling a top player. This is more than just football, there is behind the scenes politics that are leading to a Mata sale. One of the worst decisions I have seen a club make in a player sale, especially when money is not an issue.

Of course not but it does raise the question that would the majority of fans put up with a style of football (like Stokes) if it meant success. Jose is a lot of things; good man manager (most of the time), great motivator, protects his players, good tactician, etc.....but he is not a manager that plays stylish football and in my opinion its his one flaw. Maybe he doesnt want to either. Its probably because of his hatred of all things Barcelona including tika-taka that he wants to do the complete opposite...who knows?
"Of course they are, but you cannot compare their relative success rates can you?"

'Toby lerone Ramires No 1 Fanboy' got out of his pram because someone made a 'judgement' on the style of Mourinho football.
Apparently opinions are banned on this subject and by having one you're a moron.

I find it very entertaining, especially when it all clicks.
The benefit of as you describe, a more industrious approach is that we can adapt to get results when we need to.
I like an adaptable team, much more than a team that is all frills and no knickers.
