I think our best option is Kelly right back and Flanno left back as he is back in training now. Can't wait for Enrique to be back.

When's Flanno back? Also Enrique? Does this mean Kelly - - Cissokho for the derby?

Andre Wisdom recall?

I think Enrique has been a big miss.

At times he infuriates me but his presence on the left is really felt when he is out

Red, I keep hearing on twitter that Flanno is back in training, hopefully it is true! And yes agreed on Enrique, just at least he is solid and takes some beating, it was the other day against Stoke, when Cissoko made Charlie Adam look like Lionel Messi at times. I feel a bit sorry for him as well, he clearly wants to succeed and puts the effort in, but just is not good enough to play.

it does at least explain his slightly lacklustre form over the past few games, he looked like he was carrying an injury

but this really doesnt look good for kelly that rodgers would rather have a hamstrung johnson playing and only looked to give him time off when flanno has returned

and I have heard worse suggestions than recalling Wisdom! Doesn't seem a bad option at all.

Last few games? Hes been awful for months.

Johnson has been a big player for us over the last couple of seasons.

He hasn't been playing well at all recently and it appears this poor form is down to injuries, which makes sense. He has been pilloried from some on here in recent weeks, but he is one of our better players in my eyes, when fit.

He's been rubbish,but agree it does'nt help our woe's.
No' money mo' problems.

Cissohko is an absolute liability. I remember when he was talked up as one of the best around Europe not so long ago, and really can't understand. Either he's gone downhill fast or was overhyped. He just looks lost on the pitch, and like you say, there is a bit of sympathy for him as you tell he is trying, which in some ways makes it worse!

Kelly hasn't got back up to those levels we saw under Kenny (I think?). A Kelly - Cissohko full back pairing scares me...

BR says that a combination of injuries haven't allowed him to play at 100% and it's shown as he's been poor for the best part of two months.

Hits the numbers though as we already have a threadbare squad especially on the flanks. Kelly or Flannowill probably be called in at right back but I don't want Cissokho anywhere near that first XI at the moment

A fit and firing Johnson absolutely helps our team, and is one of the key exponents of our system. This season he's just not been the same, the injuries could explain that I suppose. Shows the thinness of the squad again though.

Many gaps, with little strength on the bench at the moment.

Kelly at RB, Flanno at LB sounds a bit better. Only if they were both fit though...

Think BR will be mulling over a 3-5-2 for Everton?

Sterling at RWB and possibly Flanno/Cissohko LWB

Bournemouth game could show some clues...

I really question our squads when I see Cissokobeing brought in to the team, I'd rather have kept Robinson or given brad Smith a go!

That could work, do we have 3 fit centre backs though? Obviously Skrtel and Toure are fit, but when is Sakho back?

Scouts!!!

In the press conference BR just refers to him and Agger as still being out, but getting there and needing them for the squad. He's not wrong there!

I'm starting to et that feeling that things are startign to fall apart a bit here.

The facts are he has been playing rubbish and has looked injured so this isn't surprising.

It's still a disaster for us however;

So currently Agger, Sakho, Enrique, Johnson are out injured.

Cissokho is awful
Flanners just back but not match fit
Kelly still not at the level he was in the past and may not get there.

What do we do?

We send Illori out on loan

Alarmingly, the form of some of our senior players has dipped terribly from back to front over the last month or so,just not firing on all cylinders together, not to mention the current hap-hazardness of the keeper, injuries compounding things.
An exceptional signing at the moment would give the team or individuals a wake up,fans will see ambition, give fsg breathing space, and maybe we get that nudge over the line
If we went in for say a player like mata, even if we did'nt make top 4 and suarez left,(because i think we know in our hearts he'll depart)the inflated january fee will be covered by our number 7's sale,or,if we get 4th mata is covered in some way with cl money you'd like to think, and put us in the position we want to be in,competing and having a real good go for the best available.
We got to do better if we're serious about being amongst europes elite once again, they have to spend money it goes with the territory of owning a world famous institution.

God I hate the transfer windows.

I used to like them, but our fans are just too stupid to find them enjoyable nowadays.
