Hello Thorney...I'd expect you to take something from this one, but you might have to grind it out. They've lost three of their last four and you're on the up but they're not a pushover at home. However with the talismanic Ajose you're certainly going to score.
We're home to managerless Shrewsbury, always bad playing teams in this position I think. On paper we should win but our current form is poor and perpetually losing away puts pressure on when you play at home. We do however have a new big lad up front, Michael Smith, who looks a good acquisition, so here's hoping.
Good luck tomorrow .
Don, wins for both us tomorrow, hopefully
A Jeckyll and Hyde performance from the Posh - Dr in the first half, Mr in the second. Running away with it in the first half, we ran away from it in the second. Extremely disappointing. Fergie has declined to talk to Radio Cambs et al after the game, so we remain clueless as to the cause of our second half demise. First half confidence switched to second half defensive capitulation: and, Tomlin received his third red card of the season due, somewhat unfortunately this time, to saving a goal-bound shot with his hand.
Sheffield United away on Wednesday next - can we bounce back?
Good to see that we are signing local boy Conor Washington from Newport. However, in addition to this striker, we need a midfielder. Any chance of luring Grealish from Notts County? We also need to re-sign full-back Zakuani.
Am I alone in thinking that the incompetent manager of the Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre, Gordon Brittas, bares a striking similarity to Posh manager Darren Ferguson?
Well, his half-time talk didn't seem to work today!
P.S. Credit, by the way, to Oldham for showing the mettle we didn't.
How things can change...a couple of minutes before the end you were winning and we were only drawing. We got a win we didn't really deserve; you must be gutted getting nothing after leading 3-0. You have my sympathy.
We're at Walsall on Tuesday, I'd like to think we could do you a favour but our away form militates against that. But who knows? Bad runs have to come to an end at some point. Good luck at the Blades on Wednesday.
Well done against Salop, Don. Walsall away will be a toughie. We were well beaten by them away in front of the TV cameras. I hope you beat them.
Subject to the Blades's pitch being fit for play, I'm hoping the ear-bashing Fergie will probably have given the Posh players after the second half capitulation to Oldham, will produce a Posh win (but I'm not counting on it).
TP , that result will really set you back, and could be a season defining moment.Nothing is going for you,we are on a run when it is all coming together, we are having the rub of the green week after week.
That's football, TF. Success is a lot about getting the rub of the green.
It seems you tend to get then rub of the green when you're doing well...and vice versa. There's a saying in football that you make your own luck and I think there's a lot to of truth in that. Belief and graft can get you a long way.
