I think 40mil for him is a little bit too much, don't get me wrong but I would rather see us get Andrea Pirlo on a free in the summer (I think he is), Gourcuff, or someone like him.

To be fair, I prefer Modric. And Kaka on loan or Adam would be cheaper.

on the topic - i think we need a creator in midfield who can spot the runs of torres (as well as a couple of genuine wide men) so cesc would certainly fit the bill. i've given up paying attention to transfer fees now we will always be held to ransom - well for the next year at least - and if roman can afford it why not.

would he go? i doubt it. but stranger things have happened.
