Maybe not just potential signings, but deals that have already been done for a summer switch.
Mata consulted Moyes on the signings. It's all the rage
we've probably told him a few names who we might be targeting, now its up to Moyesy, Woodwoody and Glazery to get the deals done
I think the major pulling factor that got him to United was a) Doubling his salary b) Regular football in a World Cup Year c) Knowledge that United have the aura, facilities and name to entice big names. Only grey area is whether David Moyes is recognised as a quality manager abroad?
Maybe not just potential signings, but deals that have already been done for a summer switch.

I'm sort of thinking this as well. Moyes sounds far, far too confident that we'll be bringing in a big name or two over summer. Makes me think one or two deals have already been done.
I'm sure any manager gives potential new signing his vision and hopes for the future of his club. I would also think Mata is definitely the sort of player who can understand the importance of that too.
The man's been shown no compassion or love for the past 6 months, I'm sure Moyes made it very clear how important he will be the future of this club which I hope is true.

no chance, it would have leaked somehow from somewhere, too many people within a club deal in someway with transfers for it not to get out
Maybe not concrete deals but I'm sure clubs and players are always giving off signals of potential dealings.
Just look at the Mata deal, sounds like we were aware of a possible buy ever since Jose joined.
I'm sure there is so much information between clubs that the media don't know about.

Think the quotes in this interview from Moyes makes for an interesting read.
"I have given every player the opportunity to play and show what they can do,"
Hes probably talking about Kagawa here more than anyone
If he is then he's lying, how many times has he actually been given a game as a #10?
Sticking a player on the pitch in a position that is clearly not their best is not giving someone an opportunity.
I can really seeing things changing for Kagawa which is sad because he simply hasn't been given a fair opportunity in his best position.
"I have given every player the opportunity to play and show what they can do,"
Fabio...
"I have given every player the opportunity to play and show what they can do,"

i think young Tom Cleverley may come into this bracket, as well as Chicharito
"I have given every player the opportunity to play and show what they can do,"

fabio, ando, zaha?
Heard something today along the lines that there are some worries around Zaha and the company he keeps/influences outside football hence not letting him go back to London on loan. Silly boy if true as he needs to grow up and realise what an opportunity he has been given

i thought Cardiff was a Welsh club? no?

Maybe there was something in training which Moyes didn't like, that warranted not selecting them for the 1st XI too often?

I've seen Kagawa in the Number 10 position a number of times this season. Even the games he started inside left/LW he was interchanging with whomever was Number 10. Kagawa has definitely had chances.

....not sure what your point is but yes Cardiff is in Wales.
I was merely stating that perhaps his absence from the first team may be down to outside influences/his general attitude. The reports today stated that London was not an option so perhaps he still has influences there which United would prefer he didn't have. Its sounding more and more like the Morrison scenario
" I am going to get better players in. There will be more. "
Although initially this is a great comment to hear from Moyes deep down,in our current situation,is this really the kind of comment that is going to lift players?
It's all well and good thinking certain players aren't good enough but saying out aloud that members of the team aren't up to scratch could deteriorate our form and confidence even more.
The best thing to do would be to get the current squad on your side as much as possible. They need backing/positive thinking and you (Moyes) need results.
I thuink they have tried that but to no effect.
Perhaps some of our players need to grow a pair - - a kick up the back=side, and hearing the message that 'perhaps the end of the gravy-train is very close for you' might have the desired effect

Hmm,not sure.
He said similar words in the summer and look where we are now.
Obviously it's not the main reason for our current plight in the PL but,for a team just having won the title, those words wouldn't exactly fill me with confidence if I was playing under him.
