Chelsea/City/United will outbid us in the summer. It's now or never
It will classic arsenal. Loads of speculation but no bids
Yeah, I was thinking the same. It's higuainagain.
See what I did there. I'm so witty.
We never actually put a bid in for higuain.
Same will happen with draxler
Well someone is lying. I'm optimistic.
We were on the verge of signing Ozil in the Jan window before he joined Real Madrid. How much did that cost us?
Very bad news. Then again Honigstein probably knows nothing. He could just be jealous of Fjortoft.
We get said on Friday that there was no bid so I don't get why anyone is surprised at this news. I fear we won't get anyone in this window
I'm pessimistic. No Ozil under the Christmas tree this time methinks.

Were we? I assumed it was in the summer and if we'd got him we'd have sold Cesc.
Everyone thinks Wenger is suddenly gonna spend big because he signed ozil. He only signed ozil because of fan pressure. People forget that he didn't strengthen the key areas - defence and attack. We may be top of the league, but we won't win anything of these teas aren't strengthened
**if these areas aren't strengthened
I don't know anything about how close we are however the bid thing is a red herring.
We do not make bids till everything is agreed. And Schalke making it public that we have not made an offer is to encourage rival interest.
"Everyone thinks Wenger is suddenly gonna spend big because he signed ozil. He only signed ozil because of fan pressure"
This is so true. People seem to forget that if we didn't lose to villa I highly doubt we would have signed anyone.
I hope I'm wrong but I honestly think ozil was a one of and a result of the pressure wenger and the board were facing at the start of the season.

Indeed. As Cesc said after leaving us that he had agreed personally with Wenger that he could leave and stayed an extra year as a favour. So Wenger was scouting a replacement. I think we were linked in November 2009. But Wenger wanted to wait till the summer. Real Madrid to step in.
(not 100% sure abt the dates but I think you can google the links)
well at least wenger has extended his contract,
that is sort of like a new signing
I always say, signing Draxler is not a must in this transfer window. Our midfield is so stacked and he will be just a rotation player. If he does come in January it will be another morale boost for us, and show everybody why we are ambitious again.
If we don't get him now, it will be very difficult in the summer.
I really want him, but we need a striker and CB more, also cannot lose Podolski.
Don't think Pod being exchanged as part of a Draxler deal was ever a reality ronnie - just a rumour.
I'd at least go for him now, in January. If not, then Summer wouldn't be bad either, just someone to help for Walcott whilst he is injured but I would certainly go for him this January. Then set 2/3 Summer Striker targets and sell the deadwood once again.
Plan.

clueless
at the clowns who think Wenger gave in to fan pressure. Feck did he. Fan pressure has been on him for past 8 years. The Villa defeat just seemed to happen, the ref fecked us over.
Wenger wasn't going to sign anyone till Bale went to Madrid and Ozil out of the blue was available and as Wenger said this type of player you don't turn down.
I hope terms have been agreed with Draxler. I think the reason why Arsenal are wary is that he's injured? Can't risk spending so much for a player who is out till March if that's the news.

Imagine we have Draxler, Jung, and Zelalem on this picture in the future... awesome
Then we have another pic showing Jack, Rambo, Theo, Ox, Gibbs and Jenks as the British core.
Our French and Spain representatives will be Santi, Arteta, Monreal, Giroud, Kos, Flamini, Sanogo (Diaby??).
Majority from 3 countries.
8bit, why am I clueless? Ozil is a luxury player, we needed a striker and a defender at the very least. Re fan pressure, it had reached fever pitch, it had never reached that level before

Our defence has been as good as it has ever been under Wenger.
Needed a striker, but Suarez agent is a fool.
I seriously doubt Wenger gave a toss about fan pressure.
