The Kit was that all about ?

Just watched the highlights, both teams turned up with white kits apparently, so Cas had to borrow Halifax`s gear.
A mess like that just shows the game up hope somebody gets a rocket for that.
On the other hand was impressed with the way the Shay looked on tv.

yeah just saw the report o Sky Sports News didn't see the game live, typical Super League show they didn't explain the reason why.

not a good advert for our game

Apparently the clubs are told which kit to wear by the RFL ? I was always under the impression referees had the final say on the strips worn colour clash etc,
Tbh i prefer to watch two sides who play in totally different colour shirts, shorts and socks, And i cannot believe any proffessional club does not have with them both their kits, just in case.
The Shay is a decent stadium now, Shame about the terrace nearest the Town centre being deemed dangerous due to crumbling concrete,???
Perhaps one of the Fax fans can confirm the rumours that it was built by a company owned and run by a former chairman ?? Sounds like somebody was more interested in lining their own pockets than doing a quality job on something that should have lasted a lot longer than a decade,,

Dont know who did the work but I thought that the ground was passed as up to standard as Halifax are still in the mix for a super league licence

The ground is up to standard, It holds over 10k, But it only has 3 sides in use due to H&S issues regarding naff concrete on one terrace,
I had to go in the west stand due to my nephew going pitchside for a shirt presentation, I cannot wait to stand on the terrace for the next 2 games.
If it was all in use i was led to believe the capacity is around the 12-13k mark.

congrats to your nephew on the presentation and for the great win at leigh.
Hope the application goes well but I can`t see the rfl dropping two teams, personaly I miss the promotion and relegation system, but the money people seem to hold sway these days.

Am a Giants fan mate, But i do want to see Fax back in the top flight, And yes there should be at least one up one down as long as the second tier champions have the facility to accomodate at least 6-7k in a safe environment and wont go bust within months.
How about a promotion play off, SL bottom v Champs ?

I'd go for that Bryce 9 out of 10 times the Super League club would win.....but there is the possibility of a surprise result look at Barrow last year beating Castleford in the cup....

The North stand at Fax is sinking I believe!
Last time it was used was by 2,000 Widnes fans in NRC semi final 2009 so yes we sunk it

I can only presume for SL bid Fax gave gurantee's that they would get it fixed should they get the nod?

Be great to see Fax back, they are in Northern rail cup semi and with Noble doing the honours gotta be worth a fiver for that cup.

Would be great to see tham back but unlikely,

kit lady story was only heard about because it was a sky game, otherwise it may not have got a mention...bet the union lot loved it though

As far as I believed it was the homeside's responsibility to change kit if there is a clash. For me though, I can;t for the life of me understand why Castleford couldn;t play in the home shirts given there wouldn't have been a clash? Seems ridiculous

Speaking of Championship - Leigh have apparently been deducted 3 points for a salary cap breach (this is from Leigh board not elsewhere).

Funny how the usual mouthy lot have been quiet on this!
