Thing is though, Warnock came in saying that he was going to get us promoted and he was only going to be here for 2 years.
McDermott has come in and said - we need to build something here.
Back the manager at this crucial time for the club.
Time for MOT.
If the owners set Brian a target of finishing around 12th, that in itself let's everyone know that the owners didn't want promotion, plus, Brian would go along with it despite talking about reaching playoffs and promotion etc.
When the present owners go before seasons end, hopefully, and Leeds finish 12th, would that be classed as success by the new owners.
Would the new owners write this season off, not worry about our finishing position as long as it's not a relegation battle, then build big for next season?
Would the new owners see finishing 12th as a failure by Mickydee?
All sensible questions, but we won't know till it happens.
it is time to be brutal...
If not good, replace them, players or manager

Inspirational words there aussie ......... not really going to happen though is it. Last time i looked - which is every day - our owners couldn't afford to buy a striker for £500k. Suddenly we can just sack half the team, the manager then go out and recruit replacements, presumably with cash.
In theory you're right - in reality we've neither the funds or the time left to do that. The manager is perhaps part of the problem, but there's definitely bigger issues within our club. There's bigger battles to be had - thats the ownership. Get that sorted, know how much we have to play with in terms of revenue and then make decisions.
Right now we don't appear to have a pot to pees in ......
VOF
Remember he's upside down and in searing heat
Could account for the fuddled thinking
Eric ............ In many respects Aussie is right, a big clear out and start again is probably needed - although is it? I still think some of the players are worth retaining, quite a few actually.
As for sacking BM - thats just knee jerk. All this stuff about recent form is undeniable, but it's also been during through a ridiculously unsettling period for the club as a whole.
It may seem that simple from an inverted view, but the reality is until we sort the ownership out, nothing much is going to happen.
VOF,
We do have a pot to pees in, but it's got a bloody big hole in it and GFH can't afford a new one.
